Zo6 vs 911turbo not taking
money into the comparison. What would you have if money was not in the decision. I am getting weary of the direction that Corvette seems to be going. I feel the brand is going to the race car look and preformance. I want it to go more to the sports car direction. I hope their is some major style changes in the C7. BUT thats just me.

The P car has not changed appreciably since it's inception and you are weary of the Corvette..... Do what you like - it's your money. Me - I love Corvette and have since I saw my first one over 50 years ago.

I happen to value a 'race car' look and performance but if Corvette isn't doing 'it' for you buy something else. I wish Corvette offered an option for a track-ready Corvette direct from the factory similar to the Viper ACR-X. I tend to think the style of the C7 will more evolutionary than revolutionary but we'll have to wait and see.

Money no object I take a new GT2 or GT3rs. Now if you are taking about older P cars like 996 turbo then I'll keep my Z

The Vette is as it has always been. The base Vette for cruisin top off or down driving. The GS for a more aggressive look, and the Z cars for the performance junky. From the C2's on up the same deal small blocks vrs. big blocks.Fuelies vrs. carbs. Autos vrs. manuals. Nothings changed.

While the P car never changes- You have options with a vette. But it's your money- buy whatever trips your trigger.

I dont have a Z and im not buying a "P". I have had C5 coupe, C5 vert 2 C6 verts. I dont make "baller" money but after taxes, church, and utilities, my passion is cars. I focus on the one I want. Corvette has been great but since 1999 I am getting hungry for some major changes in my focus. We all love the Corvette or we wouldnt be on the forum. Hey Im not judging the value of the car. I will let sales numbers do that. Everyone talks about how sad the porsche is for not changing. A loaded 911 turbo sport vert pushes 200k. They must know somthing about autos or they have had a lot of people fooled for a long time. I hope GM makes some big changes in the Vette very soon.

Not sure what your looking for except maybe to stir the pot a bit. I have no problem with someone whom wants to stir the pot and even take shots at the Corvette. However, it is much better to be upfront and honest with your post.

money no object, neither one. the new 300sl from AMG. aka SLS. or maybe the REAL 300SL from MB. I'd settle for a roadster....
but of the two, to me it isn't a case of which I could afford. I'd take the Z. but, like you and your taste for sports cars, that's just me.

What started me thinking, is that we have owned a printing company for 30 years. We ran american and *** equipment until about 6years ago, in came in our first Heidelberg. YOU CANT IMAGINE the engineering . Germans do take pride in what they build. We now have all Heidelbergs and one from Japan. American presses may me close to nonexistant

Many Americans take pride in what they build also.

that's what a contact at West Publishing said almost 25 years ago....it became reality for them.
