Default Clay Bar Session

Every other Thursday, we have a clay bar session. If you've never clay barred your car, you're in for a treat when finished. Very simple to do, and waxing or detailing is a breeze. Early C6's are good candidates if not done before. Your finish may look beautiful, but you will not believe what the clay will pick up from your surface.

Some of the guy's cars.

NICE!! Seems like a lot of fun. I would not mine doing that when it cools off.
I see.... you concealed the beer so we could not see it.
One working, and four supervisors.....reminds me of where I work.(lol)

Really nice shop. Looks like a good time while making the Corvettes shine. Like the flags too.

I clay mine every spring. That looks like more fun than my solo sessions though.

Atlas Pro 6MR from www.gregsmithequipment.com weighs about 900 lbs, cost in '07 $1200.00. No installation, has rollers and hand truck for moving (hand truck has motor and hydraulics reservoir).

Basically, the club has a "wax & chat" session every other Thursday, then the "other every other Thursdays", drive to different restaurants for breakfast. Good group, all retired.

Every other Thursday sounds like overkill and a waste of time and effort. Using a good protectant such as Rejex will not allow dirt/grime/ etc to stick to the surface.

What ever gave you that idea. You may be missing a point here, we do a different car every other Thursday. If none to do, pull off wheels, clean, detail, or just generally sit around and BS. No waste of time and definitely no waste of effort. This is something we all like to do or we wouldn't be there, it's a camaraderie thing.

Will clay-barring get rid of all the orange-peel and near runs on the stock paint-job, or is wetsanding or some other trick required to make it look show-quality? Parts of the C6's I have seen (around the license-plate, etc.) look rattle-can quality and I wonder if there is a way to fix it?
