Default The Big FAIL(or not) Thread

I have started a few "OH NO!" threads, and I see others starting them frequently as well. Everyone wants...data data data. Noone has managed to hack GM's service database and provide REAL data yet, so all we have is this forum.

Even then, this won't be a perfect poll of course, but it should give an IDEA!

This pertains to the 2008+ Corvette, as a few things were changed in 2008 that changed the game.

Oh come on now, it just took a minute to get all those issues people seem to bring up so often typed out. I am quite frankly VERY proud that I managed to pound all that in there in the 5 minutes it gives you, lol!

Hopefully when someone says "Is X part an issue" or "I see X part break all the time" this thread will provide at least SOME form of statistic.

The only choice I can go with is not there and by some this would not even be considered a poll without "I like Pie" choice.

I'd be more than happy to vote given the choice.

EDIT: Sorry I thought I was in CFOT.

I've owned four C6's, so I voted in every category that covered any of them. Bottom line is that of the four C6's I've owned, I've had exactly two problems. One was the squeaky roof on my 08, the other was that on my 08 the fuel gauge went to zero once. BTW, that was a 15 minute fix and it never did it again.

The other three C6's were never in the shop for anything.

Here we go again

Like I posted in your other FAIL threads, taking polls and surveys on this forum only gives a fraction of data of total corvette owners, so the data data data data you talk about is skewed skewed skewed skewed and not an accurate and true picture. And again, you don't even know how many total owners of a particluar model answered your poll or just looked at it and said, waste of time. Your going to find more breaks and problems on this forum because ALOT of people mod and take the car outside its parameter

But hey knock yourself out, most of us have tried to explain it to you, but you refuse to accept it.

Have fun with your polls

Cool story. Got anything to contribute, or are you here just to say that what's broken is still broken and shove your hands in your pockets and shuffle off?

This is very true, you don't have a rear hatch pull down handle or under hood light both of which are working perfectly on my '05.

Noone will ever be completely happy of course. Sometimes you say "something sucks" and someone says "noone on the forum says so, so it's wrong". Then you get a huge list of forum people with the issue and it's "Well those numbers are skewed", so until someone finds out what is in GM's service computer records, I challenge you to do better.

Or you could just say that my poll has flaws, which we all know it does. But then, you might as well go make fun of Ray Charles for being blind.

I've had 3 C6s, all had LS2 engines (not included in your poll). I've had a total of 2 problems - a base radio had to replaced under warranty because it occasionally go silent. Also, the BCM on my current C6 had to be replaced under warranty when the cruise control quit working.

Total of 2 problems, but neither was really serious.

I'd actually contribute something if any of your threads were of any value and provided any real usable information Other than just pointing out how many of this have failed and how many of that have failed on this forum... as you can see from quite a few other members responses, I am not alone on this view.

Go post this same crap on a nissan or a mustang forum and it will be the same Every engine of some kind has some failures...so what's your point? Why don't you go read all the TSB on the car instead, that would actually be better information.

At any rate, it's a public forum, so have fun with your games and BS, the rest of us will just sit back and enjoy the entertainment.

Thanks for playing

but why? it seems a lot of your posts are just meant to search out issue with these cars. They are relatively very reliable cars and most issues are likely modification caused or user error/abuse.

I don't see anything skewed or biased about the poll or the way the questions are worded.

Sure, the sample will be a bit small. When someone else comes up with a better poll, then we'll use it. Until then, this one will be interesting.

Consumer reports does a good job of collecting reliability data, but their categories are so broad that often it's tough to figure out what the problems actually are.
