I had a set of Lloyd mats already.. they have the waterfall and "corvette" in black embroidery under it... have the cargo mat as well.

I wanted something different, since I think there are enough waterfalls all over the car as it is, and, because I support the Corvette racing team, I have Jake on my side pillar, each side... some of you have seen that.

So, I ordered a set of Jake mats made by Lloyd, front and cargo through Gene's place, and I must say, one heck of a good price!

I ordered black this time instead of ebony, which is the color of my other mats...and ..i never felt they totally match the ebony in the car. I ordered black Lloyd mats for my 05 GTO with ebony interior, and loved the contrast and thought they looked better.... anyway...

I order "Jake" with the word "Corvette" under it. In silver.. the Jake is black outlined in silver.

For some reason, the pictures suk.. these mats are very black and look much better in person, I think my flash might have something to do with it.. sorry.

My real opinion request is this though: Lloyd sent "Corvette Racing" under Jake instead of just "corvette". At first, I was ticked off........ then I got to thinking... Jake is the symbol of Corvette racing.... I have Jake on the outside of the car, Im not a C6R by any means, but my car is blacked out, and truly black and shiney.. the silver trim on the mats compliment the silver in the interior, and having Jake with just "Corvette" under it....... maybe is not so cool after all.......since.. he is Mr. Corvette Racing.....

Should i sent them back? or keep em?

what a helluva contrast! if I didn't know better, I'd swear your regualr floor carpet was solid gray (not ebony).

to answer your question, it looks good to me. the contrast DOES work very well, and I think the "racing" part is not only approrpiate but better (to me) than just "Corvette."

more pics, Ken, and maybe with a better camera j/k. those pics are just fine; they show what needs to be shown.

Im going to get some better pics tomorrow for sure. It does look very sharp (the black on my ebony..which..is darker than that stupid flash on steriods makes it look like.......

Contrast is nice, something different. It will grow on you, like all new changes, I like em.

I like the contrast. I like the word "racing" on the mat. Keep it as it is.

The mats look good to me. If the contrast is what you like, no reason to send them back.

I'd keep them.

You may want to take your photos in the daylight with no flash so the colors don't get washed out by the flash. You should be able to turn the flash off on your camera.

Try taking pics without the flash.
You like a lot of us got buyers remorse I bet after a good nite sleep your going to love them, I say keep them

I think the black looks great, goes well with the center console color. I also like the Racing, it helps to explain the Jake skull to those not in the know and could be a good conversation piece.

I think they really pick up the console cover black and the silver trim in the car. I like them a lot. I'd keep them and say well done !

What # can of Zaino will you use on them to keep them looking clean and black?

I think some people are color blind or just being nice , Contrast is not working for me at all ....... the racing, I would only keep it because of the hassle of returning.

Thanks yall, they have really grown on me since I made this post... walking out in the garage and peeking.....LOL

I do sincerely love the contrast, no doubt.. my big and only concern was the word "Corvette Racing" instead of just "Corvette" under Jakes head........ but like I said, the more I think about it...... Jake IS corvette racing...... I just don't want to appear....."squirrely"......... maybe its my old age catching up with me...LOL

its bad pictures, i assure you if you saw it in person it looks a lot better than the Lloyd ebony mats... which had that "green tinge" to them in good light...
