Where do you carry your gun in your C6?

Why do these "Where do I keep my gun" keep showing up? For real he-man gun carriers, the last thing one would want to do is let someone know where you keep your pistol. Also, if you need to carry a pistol with you all the time, you should already know where to put it. In my opinion, this is a sick macho wannabe thread....doh where do I keep my gun----if you're that stupid then you shouldn't even own a pistol. Maybe you should hide it in your rectum and then spray the next guy that bothers you with a load of sheet.
Now take your troll *** back to whatever liberal hole you crawled from under and get the F*ck off my thread!
Damn I am tired of these freaking ******.

Now I am going to go wash my my Z and yes I'll be packin' thank you! Any of you that don't feel like I should carry one, too freakin' bad. And don't worry I am much to selfish to bother helping any of you whiners should you be put in a life or death situation.
I'd rather watch you get your head blown off for your wallet then have for me to pay a lawyer justifying why I had to save your sorry butt.
Don't worry I'll take pictures though and post it on facebook!

Do you have robberies, muggings, and murder up there? If not, then you don't need a weapon. If you do, what is the weapon of choice for the miscreants? Down here, they like guns when they're being felonious. The old saying, "The police are only a call and 5 minutes away" is pretty lame when you are in the "now" and currently in danger. I figure the bastard is going to kill me when done so at least I'd like to have a chance to give him/her a souvenir or two to remember or die by.
If I can't carry I won't visit. Canada is pretty but too bloody cold for me! Snow, fuhgedaboudit.

Lemme explain it to you...you are the kind of guy who most people worry is actually carrying...one who gets totally pissed very easily. If someone questions you, suddenly they are a liberal troll as opposed to someone who just disagrees with you or questions your actions. Typical...

I have firearms and I make no excuse about. In the US we have certain rights and gun ownership is one of them. I've thought about getting a concealed carry permit but I keep putting it off. Here in Georgia it's legal to have a gun in your car so that's not the issue. If I want to, I can carry legally as long as it's visible in the holster but I would feel pretty stupid strapping a 9mm Glock in a holster and walking around like some kind of cop or vigilante. I keep my Glock at home.
One thing to remember is that if you carry a gun in your car and leave it there, there is a good chance it will be stolen and end up in the hands of a criminal. The neighborhood police reports always have news of guns being stolen from people's cars (also laptops, GPSs and all sorts of other stuff). That's enough reason for me not to carry the gun in the car unless I am transporting it to or from some place.
Now, I will admit that I have stayed in a hotel or 2 that I wished I had brought my Glock (and one of those portable door jams). Nothing ever happened, but I just felt very nervous and uneasy because of the location. I did not know ahead of time what it was like and the travelers reviews did not prepare me. Oh well, next time I'll check the laws in the states that I'll travel through and where I will be. I'll carry the Glock in whatever legal manner is prescribed.

I am going to say you are being funny and let it go, because you just are not really that ignorant and pompous.

My quandary is similar to yours...getting a concealed permit is pretty involved and I just cannot see needing to carry one here in the midwest. I also really question how effective most will be with one when confronted suddenly while sitting in their Corvette. If you are a professional trained gun handler like LEOs or military, that is one thing but mine is mostly for home defense.
I wonder how many average citizens here (not LEO or military) have ever had to use their gun while carrying. Honestly.

I've used this gun holster for my Glock 30 in my C6 for 2 years now with absolutely no issues here in AZ. I only carry it in this manner while driving and without a passenger.
Whenever I leave the vehicle I carry concealed and never leave it in the car.
The holster is compression mounted, simply push down on the top, the holster compresses outward and you slip the top tab from under the console and toss it in the cargo area.

Carry in a C6
I keep mine stuck between the seat and the console when going to and from work or to the bank.
I normally carry a S&W 642 every day at work. I use a DeSantis Speed Scabbard. In certain social settings I carry a NAA mini revolver in a pocket holster.
I've only drawn a gun from the holster twice, but never made it visable to anyone else.
Once when my wife and I were look at a home (to purchase) and a very large, loud man barged into the house screaming "where is he, I'm gonna kick his a**". As I pushed my wife behind me I demanded he stop, with my open hand held up. It turned out that he was friends with the guy I had hired to inspect the home and was being "funny". He was 10 feet from having a loaded firearm pionted in his direction. I'm very glad he stopped when he did, as I had every right to be very afraid.
BTW, I own a gun shop in SE PA. There are some people that should not have guns (for various reasons) and for them I stock Pepper spray.

I can fit some of my smaller CCW guns in the small center console, but IMO the best place is on my person.
That holster being posted could get some into a lot of trouble if your state requires it to be concealed, whether you have had "no issues" thus far or not. In FL, that method would be illegal. Simply draping a towel over it would make it legal.
It's funny how much overlap there seems to be between corvette owners and gun owners. I remember a couple years ago when I drove to my local gun store to buy my first gun, there were like 3 or 4 other corvettes in the parking lot in addition to mine.

To all the "I would never leave my gun in the car" folks...not once did I ever mention that I did, would or do. I carry my gun on me, 4 o'clock strong side. But on a long road trip it kinda grinds into the side.
In Texas the gun MUST BE CONCEALED and therefore if you happened to get pulled over it better had be.
So a nice list of those that do put it here or there and have tried this or that and how the access is thank you!
To those that are scared of who carries a gun or not...you don't have to worry about me jackin your vette, or wallet, or shooting at you on the freeway. The people out there that do not have a carry license that like to shoot at people that cut them off are of a totally different sort. The reason why you are scared other people have guns is because you are one of those that should not have one yourself. Nor any weapon for that matter and should most likely be locked up as you are a ticking time bomb. It is only a matter of time before you kill someone yourself and therefore feel that everyone else must be just like you.
Sorry, we are not. Go take some prozac and leave the rest of us normal folks alone!
Time for a Saturday night movie with the wife in a clean vette! Yes I'll be packing. The good thing is you'll never know, we are out there and it must be scary for you, so you better just stay home in the comfort of your own home. All those evil guns out there might just start shooting off randomly by themselves!
