Was just given what I think is a good deal on new tires. $1,050 for 4 new Toyo T1R. Have any of you had any experience,good or bad, with these?

How would you rate them against the OEM Goodyears?

I had them and loved them. Night and day difference. Quiet and really gripped the road. I would buy them again.

Excellent tire. The tread is a little tall when they are new, but once they wear about 3-5k worth they are great.

Toyo Proxes T1r are hands down, a huge improvement over the OEM Goodyears for comfort and performance. Excellent wet/dry ultra-high performance street tire. I love them! They handle terrific and look great!

On 12/28/2007 I paid (mounted/balanced/TPM and shipped from Florida to California):

2 285/30-19 TOYO Proxes T1r @230.00 = 460.00
2 305/30-20 TOYO Proxes T1r @297.00 = 594.00

i had proxes, on another vehicle several years ago, and they were very noisey. how are these in that area?

Really? I doubt they were "very noisey," maybe you're confusing them with another tire? The Toyo Proxes series is designed for high performance sports cars and SUVs.

This thread is specific to Toyo Proxes T1r which are designed especially for high end, ultra performance coupe and sedan sports cars. These tires are very quiet.

I have T1Rs on my front wheels. I'm happy enough with them that I will be putting T1Rs on my traveling any kind of distance wheels.
