Seriously torn-would you do it?
My two vettes 2004 C5 tripple black convertible 6sp with 8k miles and my 2007 C6 3LT yellow/black 6sp coupe with 22k mil traded straight across for supercharged blue 2006 Dodge Viper SRT10 hardtop with 3k miles and 750 rwhp. Is this a fair trade? Or is it better just to hang on to my cars? I am seriously torn on this.

Put simply, NO I wouldn't in my mind 2 corvettes are better than one dodge any day, are you looking forward to 8 mpg, or do you know gas is going down in price.
Chrysler always made cheap cars, I don't think they changed there ideas on a viper.

ah..
Need more info...
Why do you want a Viper? Is it just a fun car, or do you intend to use for a DD? I think the loss of a really nice, drive anywhere Vette, is tuff to give up for a Viper... But that's me.

I kind of use the C6 as a DD, putting about 10 miles per week, the C5 ran for about 200 miles last year and about 40 this year... I seriously doubt that I would use Viper for DD at all... I like the way Viper looks and its exclusivity but then I really like my Vettes too. This really sucks

KBB private party is about 32k for C5 and about 37 for C6 but I seriously doubt these are realistic values these days? The Viper is 57k but it does have 17k worth of upgrades with receipts and the upgrades are very recent.

Your only driving your Vettes 600-700 miles a year? You need to get out more often!
I think your handle tells the story
Viper or Vette, if your not going to drive them, what difference does it make.

I really like the Viper and I grew up with Dodges, but I'd still put a pencil to it like 4thC4at60 mentioned. You didn't mention if you knew the Viper's owner or the car.

Just caught my error on the handle. Was picking up "athomesoda" as you.
But you really need to drive those vettes.
I can tell you that a friend has a Viper and it does develope a lot of interior heat.

NO.....the technology in the Viper is not there .... IF you really want a performance car trade your two in on a Z06.
A good friend from our Corvette Club owed several Vettes and added a new Viper to his stable in 2004 ... well, 2 weeks ago he killed himself in the Viper ... IF it had stability control like the Z06, it would not have happened. By the way, his wife was so against the Viper that in the 6 years he had it, she NEVER sat in either seat.

If it were me,no more than you drive your cars,I'd seriously consider making the swap. The Viper is an absolute blast to drive, just be ready for the instant rock star status that comes along with owning a Viper.
It's kinda cool for a bit,but gets tiresome after awhile.

What do they say on the Viper forum? My point is, the brothers and sisters on this forum are not unbiased, and proud of it (me included).
Corvette vrs Viper? This has got to be discussed before, here on the forum.
I like the gas mileage aspect, you could drive both Corvettes wherever you go and still spend less on gass than with the Viper alone.
