Default SLP hood ?

Does anyone have any information or input as to the quality of construction and fit of the C6 ZR1 style hoods from SLP.

Default hood

I have an SLP cold air hood on my C6 and the fit is excellent and the underside is as wave free as the top is. There is also a serial number plaque on the right side upper area. No complaints here. I was not aware thy made a ZR1 style hood but I am sure the quality is there. They were the oem supplier for camaro / firebird SLPs back in the day...

Sorry, I own alot of toys but never got a digital camera. About a year and a half ago a forum member got an SLP hood, painted it silver and installed it on his C6. I think it was in the Texas area. Did you try a search ??? My hood is number 029 and I believe his was a lower number indicating a newly introduced part. Their web site shows it and a episode og "GRZ" on speed uses that hood on a Tony Stewart C6 redo.
Hope this helps...

Thank you

Thats the one I thought it was. Thats the only aftermarket hood I like for the C6. I might end up with one.

Here's the ZR1 hood by ACS. ACS is the company that makes the hoods for SLP, Callaway, Camaro/Firebird, etc. I'm really interested to hear about the fit of this hood and whether or not it will clear the TVS2300. I'm really not happy with the fit of my Lingenfelter SV3 hood.

If it's anything like the SLP performance hood then it should be a great fit and finish. My bodyshop guy, who works with alot of aftermarket hoods said that he was really taken back on the overall finish of the hood. Very little prep work. Hope this helps..Good luck!
