Default 08 Brake Squeal

Ok, I have the most annoying squeal coming from my right front brake. This happens almost everytime I lightly press the pedal. Car only has 22k on it so don't think I need new brake pads, how do I get rid of the squeal.
I have been told that I can slid the caliper back and put on some anti squeal compound such as Gunk M72502 Squeal Medic Brake Squeal & Squeak Cure - 2 oz is this the best approach?

Most times if you just take it out on an open road and do some hard stops without hitting the ABS say 60 to 10 mph a few times will cure most squeal problems.

First, if you don't know how to check the pad thickness by yourself, have somebody do it for you. You may be hearing the worn pad indicator rubbing on the rotators. Depending on how you drive, you may indeed need new pads at 22K miles. Secondly, if you don't, most brake squeaking is a result of the metal pad backing vibrating against the brake calibers or the retaining clips vibrating. An good cleaning and then application of the anti squeak compound will usually solve the problem. Hope this helps!

I want to echo Walt. Don't be afraid to go (relatively) fast, then stop fast. Repeatedly. This will likely solve your squealing. Easiest and cheapest fix!
