roof panel safety recall
My 06 roof panel was clearly separating therefore I checked with GM direct, to see if my car was part of the safety recall. It wasn't! I talked to the GM rep. and she setup an appointment with the local Chevy dealer to take a look. I figured I'd have a battle and I'm out of warranty. GM paid for it no questions asked, plus impressive followup by the GM rep. every couple days as they had to order the panel. GM has come a long way with genuine customer service!

Interesting, I'm under the impression all 2005, 2006 and some/most 2007's are under the recall. My 2006 is (built march 2006) and the panel has arrived, is painted and ready for my pick up. I probably will have it installed this coming week.

I have one of the last 06s built and got the recall. I didn't use my painted top since July of 06 so there were never any problems with it. I wonder why I got the recall and you didn't.

I was driving my 2006 tonight and the damn roof completely separated from the panel. I am about freaking out right now. Obviously my warranty is up. Will this recal cover it? I am going to call the chevy dealer tomorrow. I was on the interstate and it just ****ing blew off.....

I have a 2007 with a 05/07 build date. Did not receive a letter, but since I was the 2nd owner thought it might have got lost, checked the GM website with my vin number, no recalls
