You might have to take your remote apart and just let it dry for a little while and hope it will dry out enough to work agian. If you can't get it to work you wont be able to start your car unless you get a new remote or your 2nd remote for your car. One of them anti-theft features so your car can't be stolen.

Take it apart and dry it out the very best that you can. If you have some access to rubbing alcohol wipe down the FOB unit as the alcohol will help remove and evaporate and residual moisture inside the unit.

If you don't have any alcohol; dry it as best as you can and then insert the FOB into the socket inside of the glove box for a better connection and hope for the best when you press the Start Button.

Use the direct connect in the glove box. Just insert your remote and the car will start.

And then take it home and use a nickel to pop it open and let it dry for a couple of days.

Try blowing with air (can or air compressor) and short time under a hair dryer. Should be fine after that. I know I have put mine through the washer and dryer a few times with no problem.

This is news to me? What are you calling a direct connect in the glove box? I must be completely in the dark but I do not believe there is anything to "insert" your fob into in the glove box. Please Explain?

Go look...open the glovebox and on the left side is a slot that is just the right size for the fob. Slide the fob in with the buttons facing to the right side. Then start the car.

Take a look at page 2-9 in both of your owners manuals....

The glove box has a transmitter pocket that the FOB with a dead battery can be inserted and recognized. Insert with the buttons facing the passenger side.

Look for a small rectangular slit inside the glove box on the left side.

I was so excited about the C6 that I read every entry on the C6 FAQ sticky before I even picked up the car and then read the manual cover to cover the first night I picked it up. First time I ever read an owner's manual that I knew more than the manual itself.

Good luck to the OP and hopefully he got the his vette home safe.

I fell out of a kayak once in the middle of the river, and was submerged for about 30 minutes. When I got back, I was soaked, and so was the remote, but the car unlocked and fired right up. Pretty impressed, and relieved since I was 50 miles from home where my 2nd fob is.

Goodluck!
