Its is really a unique color. Changes depending on the lighting it is in. Only draws back from going from a Silver 1999 to my 2008 CRM is that you need to wipe it down more often, shows dust faster than the Silver did. But I can lived with that. People just love the color and always comment on it.
Anyone know if CRM is brought back for '11? For me, I think it will be a choice between it and the new Orange Metallic (will need to see both in person!).

IMO, the CRM is totally awesome. I have not seen a color I like near as much. The first two pic's are of our CRM '08 at the NCM for pick-up. (Recently Sold it). We liked the CRM so much we ordered our CTS Sport Wagon in the same color. Our 2011 GS will most definitely be CRM.
I haven't heard anything about it being deleted. Hope not.

I have the 08 Crystal Red Coupe and it's absolutely awesome. I get tons of compliments just because of the color. Once I parked it in a lot to have dinner with friends and when I came out found it under neon lights in the parking lot and the "crystal" really stood out. It really stunned me as well as everyone else. I also keep it polished with Zaino and that helps for sure!

Hello Geoff,
What is the difference, if any, between Crystal Red Metallic and the Red Jewel Tintcoat Metallic that is on my '10 Camaro, or the CTS for that matter? Does the Corvette get anything "special"?
I am interested in a Vette that is Crystal Red Metalic Tint Coat, I have not seen the color in person yet.
What do you owners think of that color?
The major problem with CRM is once you get a couple of coats of wax on it and it's sitting there in your garage under neon lights it looks too good to take out and get dirty. That last about 5 minutes then you are out showing it off.

CRM is a very nice color. Plus, if I were buying a new GS or ZO6 Corvette right now, there'd be a 90% chance I'd get that color. However, it isn't now and it will never be as nice and as eye popping as Monterey Red. The reason GM did away with MR was it was a 2 stage paint & cost more to paint. CRM is a very nice alternative...but, it's still an alternative. I know, I've been next to many CRM's in car shows etc..and even their owners admit...MR is deeper & better looking.
We were originally going to get a Velocity Yellow Corvette. We went to the dealer to see the yellow on a sunny day and it was sitting next to a Crystal Red Metallic coupe that just popped. Our decision was made that day.
