Default Water Spots On Glass

While washing my 2007 'vert yesterday, I noticed at a certain angle and light that there are water spots on the glass. I usually use Invisible Glass with a microfiber towel. Thinking I didn't do a good job, I proceeded to do it agian . . . and again. I then was told to use a mixture of water and Dawn. Again, I still see water spots. They are not visible from inside the car looking out but look terrible from the outside in bright sunlight.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to remove these 'stains'?

I have the same issue, and I'm using Invisible Glass.

Not a C6 but I use Griot's Garage glass polish and fine glass polish on my C3, Camaro, and Sportage. Simply apply it with a random orbital and then buff it off. I am subject to overspray from marine epoxy paint at work and the glass polish takes off the paint and the water spots. It is like new when I'm done. I'm sure someone else will chime in with a different but similar glass polish product but the Griot's works for me!

Adams Glass Cleaner and a microfiber towel and your problem will be solved. It is THE best I have ever used.

It really depends how embedded they are into the glass . Usually a 50/50 mixture of vinegar & water will do the trick. If they are more serious, like etched into the glass you'll probably need to use a glass polisher/restorer. Good Luck.

I had a few waterspots that wouldn't come out. Tried vinegar, glass polish, nail polish remover, Goo Gone, and curse words. I then saw a post by someone on the forum to use glass stovetop cleaner. Tried it (I used Cerama Bryte) and the spots disappeared. Great stuff.

Yeah, the worst ones are calcium and other minerals that etch the glass. Of course, be careful with any of the remedies, or you'll be asking about good paint shops in the area!

I had bad spots on the glass and mirrors. Did vinegar and water did not do much. But Then I actually clayed. Worked for about 95%. Again mine was bad.
Heard about Griots. Might pick that up.

For bad water spots, no amount of Stoner's product or vinegar will work.

Two options which you would probably already have lying around: clay bar or cleaner wax. Either one (with a fair bit of elbow grease) will remove the spots.

All you have to do is get a little hammer and SMASH ALL THE GLASS OUT LIKE THIS!

That should get rid of any water spots you may have...

Invisible Glass is the worst glass cleaner I've used. Try Sprayway for glass
