Default Melting G.S.

Today I saw a beautiful G.S, Melting on 441 in Parkland Florida. It was a CRM Vert with Black top, chrome wheels. It was dirven by a very young boy, new driver maybe, with his dad in the pass seat. It rained all day long here in Fla, I wonder how far they got before the rain melted it? A simply beautiful car, lucky kid.

I did the R8C Museum Delivery. When it was time to pull it outside, it was pouring down rain hard out there. No choice...and it didn't melt!

I started this ridiculous thread because I am one of those who think that the cars will melt, and yet I feel kind of guilty because of it. the CRM G.S. was absolutely beautiful.

Hi Jen, just sold my White Vert a few weeks ago and bought a Yellow ZO6, lots of fun, and the looks of the wide body are not hard to take.

Same thing happened to me. Took RC8 delivery on our '08, the weather was beautiful every day except the day of delivery, the clouds opened up. Drove it home (approx. 200 miles) in the rain. When we arrived home I promptly measured the car, top to bottom, front to back and I was amazed that the car didn't shrink one inch.

i can confirm that the rain does not cause the C6 to melt... mine didn't melt in the snow either... nor the salt... in fact when i detailed it after winter abuse it looked brand new! go figure...

You bought Henry's Yellow Z06? Pass by my dealer sometime and show me the Z06, but you have to let me drive drive it. There was a yellow at my dealer today not sure what he was doing there.

Jen is very very far from a wide body, trust me on that! And I think i resent your comment sir! (I can only guess you do not know Jen and have never seen any photos of her).

No, I did not buy Henry's Yellow car, he sold his a few months ago I think. When I brought it over to his shop he did say something like I should have just bought his. I bought an 09, great car and so much fun to drive.

While the Crvette is a very nice car, it always makes me scratch my head when I hear those in a state of panic if should happen to rain on an automobile . Such tools...

I for one do believe that a Corvette will melt if it gets wet. That's why, instead of washing it, I take it in to be dry cleaned.
