Bendpak lift install / **pics**
Yesterday with the help of my friend Keith, his son and one of my sons we got my lift installed. This was an all day job, not for the faint of heart. Enjoy the pics.
The lift was delivered to my friends boat yard and he got it to my house on his trailer.
THE FIRST COLUMN IS UP!!!! NOW WHAT
INSERTING THE LADDER BARS
NOW IT'S TIME FOR SOME HEAVY LIFTING. THE CROSSBEAMS WERE A PEICE OF CAKE COMPARED TO THE RUNWAYS.

THERE WAS PLENTY OF JOKING AROUND AND LAUGHS THROUGHOUT THE DAY
ONE OF THE RAILWAYS WOULDN'T DROP IN AND LINE UP PROPERLY SO WE HAD TO GRIND DOWN ONE OF THE WELDS.
PERFECT FIT
INSERTING THE CABLES
HOOKING UP THE ELECTRICAL
ADJUSTING THE LADDER BARS
READY TO TEST IT OUT
SUCCESS!!!
THANKS FOR CHECKING IT OUT

Awesome Steve... I see you tested it with the wife's vette first, smart move
Looks great, I'd like a lift, but my house is for sale so will have to wait.

A little over 3K, shipping was free. That includes the sliding jack tray and lightweight aluminum ramps.
There is a sliding jack tray that will travel the length of the runnways. I will place 2 bottle jacks in that tray and I can jack up the front or the back, so I can remove 2 wheels at a time.
No, I didn't bolt it down yet. We leveled the posts with steel shims and outlined the base plates on the floor so if it moves the slightest bit we will be able to see it. I have the lag bolts so if it moves we will bolt it down.

Looks good. I was going to ask if you could open the door with the car on the lift but it looks like the tracks for that lift are higher than the other ones.
My friend has a very similar lift. We installed it into the new part of their garage in 2002 I think. So far no real problems with it. The pulleys have had to be replaced. His is not bolted down and he has never had a problem with it.
