C7 picts in road & track...what do you think?
The hood and trunk look good, and the new headlights appear to be okay; but the front air-dam is way too large and just destroys the front end of the car. I hope that isn't the final version! Maybe this is the way GM can test the waters on their new version of our beloved cars. Just my two cents, but it would keep me from buying one if that is the final design. I never thought I would say that because I like all corvette designs thus far from C1 Thru C6, but when you see all the other front ends of other sports cars this one is just bad. Very cheap looking...and kind of resembles a big mouth bass. the current XLR has a way nicer front end. Very disappointed in this new vette design.

Exactly....those are not photographs but renderings with some C6 basis. Nobody wants the Corvette to look like a Cadillac SRX and GM probably knows that.
(Probably I hope......)

How does the car get sleeker than ours...its already the best looking car out there....???
I just hope they don't go with the angular look of the Cadillacs...

Given how much GM and Corvette Racing have made about the technology and design transfer between the street and race cars (the popup headlights from the C3, C4, and C5 went away on the C6 because the racers needed better aero) it's hard for me to imagine that front end being used on the production car. Talk about a drag coefficient...
Anyway, as has been stated in the numerous other threads on this, they are not photos - just artist conception guesswork that may or may not represent anything real.

Even if the actual C7 turns out to be the same as the pictures, a real car is different from a pic.
For several months I looked at various photos of the C6 when it first came out, and thought the car looked pretty ugly. Five minutes after seeing one for real, I thought (and still do) that it's one of the most beautiful and graceful cars ever made.

Well, even though this is a repost, someone needs to link the article so that others can see what we are talking about:

Its pretty obvious to me, that even though the article talks about GM making the C7 slimmer, lighter, smaller, etc......that this artist's rendering is based on the C6 -- and probably therefor has VERY little to do with what the C7 is actually going to look like....
