I am working with Josh at RPI on making a master mold for the insulator. We are talking about making it out of high temp. resistant, paintable plastic. I have sprayed multiple coats of gel coat on one liner, but the gel coat cracked soon thereafter. Gerardo from DSV made one out of carbon fiber, but the price was north of a grand. I can keep you updated on what Josh comes up with if you want.

Check with Custom Auto Accessories (Google). Rich has one he just developed. Not sure if it is on his web site, just call the 800 number. I am sure he will send you some pics.

Default Liner

Saw the finished product recently, really a nice piece that was on a Z06.

I talked with a guy in Atlanta, Richard Van't Hof, that does custom hood-liners. His number is (678) 427-0017 and his company is Advanced Designed Coatings.

That was a neat indoor show. I was very fourtunate to win "Best of Show Two Seater Sport Car Foreign and Domestic". Kind of shocked really. As for my New Custom Coated Insulators. Glad you liked the one on the 2008 C6 Z06. People are very upbeat about the possibilities; I'm receiving calls everyday. Never before has there been a process using the OEM insulator that will provide a "Permanent High Impact and Chemical Resistant Result". Also, the Colors and Artwork are realy limitless.
