Zaino vs....?????
I have been using Zaino for years to wax and polish my cars, but I was just curious what else people are using? Anything else out there a must have over Zaino?

Nothing that I've found. I did try the Adams Polish brands and they're good, but not better than Zaino IMHO - but more easily to find.

I use RejeX on the vette only because it lasts forever. On a yellow car, it works good. About once per week I hit with the car duster then the Meguirs Quick Detailer.
On my black car, I am unconventional. I use a Meguiars "Ultimate QuickWax" spray product. I spray it on, I wipe it, then I buff it. One section at a time. Hood, quarter panel, doors, trunk. etc...
After that's done, I take the Meguiars Quick Detail and give the car a good once over with that which really brings out the shine. My black IS350 is three and half years old and spotless with no scratches or swirls.
It doesn't last as long as the RejeX, or probably the Zaino, but with a black car, I don't care as it needs attention ALL the time. Plus, it's my DD so it needs a wash/wax at least once per week.

I use a product another forum member suggested and I think it is great. It is Satin Gloss Wax, after you apply it no need to let dry if you do not want to and comes off easy. You will have to google it as it is not sold over the counter. I believe the distributor was at Carlise. The cost is $20.00 they also have a great detail spray. Worth a shot.

Zaino has an excellent line of products, but if you're looking to switch, here are some other combinations that have worked well for me.
Current:
Previous combinations:
I've also done Menzerna/Zaino. I haven't tried Zaino's ZPC yet, so I don't know what kind of cleaning/cutting abilities it has. The Menzerna polishes have always worked well for me, which is why I keep using them. I've tried these combinations over a period of about seven years, mostly on my 2000 Z28, which has a different clear coat material (and it was Navy Blue Metallic, which acts very different from my black C6).
The reason I have switched is just to try various combinations. I really like Blackfire, and their quick spray is among my favorite products.
My next experiment will probably by Klasse AIO. I keep hearing great things about this product, and would like to try it for myself.
With anything, prep work is the key. If you don't do something to remove the scratches and swirls, you can put anything from Zaino to Pinnacle Souveran to Albino Venezuelan Beaver Wax on your car, and you'll just end up with shiny scratches and swirls. I prefer my final protection coat to offer little to no fillers, since that's what the final polish or glaze should do.
Just my $0.02.

I've never found anything better and I quite looking for that reason a few years ago....... I am always open and have observed and checked out other products since, tried them on our Yukon.... but....... they dont get it.
if its used correctly, its a lot for your money... !
and as stated, prep work applies to matter what you use... its just that zaino goes to the trouble to tell you to do it..! LOL

Just finished my first application of Rejex on the new GS today.
I've used nothing but Rejex since I discovered it about 5 years ago.
When you see a kid at a car show run his fingers down the side of the car and say "I like this one", you know you have a winner.
(It only took a microfiber to get the fingerprints out).

I am quite happy with Zaino. EVERYwhere I go I get comments about the shine of and the "depth" in the paint. I am asked quite often what I use.
Two pics below.
First pic at a car show...
Second pic I took after someone said to me, "wow! look at that reflection of the ZR-1's rim in your bumper!"

I used Zanio starting on my 99 vert than my 04 vert, purchased a 08 vert and after every so often getting a haze from the Zanio and having to use a wet towel to remove. When the 08 arrived I tried Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0 using my buffer, last longer, is slicker and now I always get comments on the shine. Six other club members have also changed with the same results. Never thought that I would find anything that I liked better than Zanio but Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0 last longer, shines better, and is slicker. Did 3 coats in May last year drove to Bowling Green for anninversary party, on road 10 days washed everyday. Still shines and just put a coat on for this year 1st time since May and still got comments the first time took car out this year before re-applying.

I like Zaino and have been using it for about 6 years now. I do have Rejex, Satin Gloss and some Griots products in the garage as well and use them depending on the desired application/result (shine Vs. long lasting, etc) and if the car is for show or daily driving purposes. A couple of knocks against Zaino are that you can't get larger sizes, have to use a private distributor or mail order and frankly it's pretty expensive. But I guess Sal's Lambo doesn't get very good gas mileage so we all have to help out

I'm currently a Zaino user on one car. On the other car I use Liquid Glass Polish. It's easy and conventional in that you apply it then buff it off. Not alot of work involved like Zaino. It takes 6 hours to cure or you can let it bake in the finish leaving car in the sun. It builds up more times you apply it the more protection you get.
Klasse AIO used with Klassee Sealant works good with less steps than Zaino but more than Liquid Glass Polish.

I have used Blackfire for years with great results. It last and can be built up (multi layers). I apply it with a Porter Cable polisher, and wipe with microfiber cloths.
All you need is a good base. Depending on the paint, I sometimes use 3M polish for dark paint. I may also 'clay' the paint.

I have been using Meguiar's products exclusively since I started detailing my own cars some years ago. I do also use Danase Wet Glaze and Opti-Seal. I have been very happy with the results and see no need to really switch to anything else. Personally I think all the products mentioned all do a great job and there is most likely very little difference in one product over another. You could probably line up a Zaino car next to a Meguiar's car and next to a Rejex car and 99% of the people out there probably would not be able to tell a difference. I think it's more a result of the person using the products themselves.

BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond, All Finish Paint Protection.
Read a lot of good things about it and decided to give it a try.
Put two coats on an Artic White 2009 coupe.
Incredible gloss and super slick.
Went on easy; came off easy.
Really pops.

Spot Correction: Menzerna Super Intensive Polish/Orange Pad
Surface Gloss: Menzerna Final Polish II or Menzerna PO106FA/White Pad
Protection: Menzerna's new sealer red pad like Rejex that I did use one the Vette before the change to Menzerna and still use Rejex on the Silverado.
