Do it you will really like it, I have done my C5 and my buddy has done his 08 VR Z06 and it does look good

At least not until you have checked to see if it is legal or not in your state. There was a recent thread - which you can search for - addressing this question.

I did on my MS, i think it looks great. So if you like it then do it.

I have Victory Red, the red lenses look better with the red paint than dark tint tape would. Maybe on black, but on red???

If you want to get rearended and sued, YES.

If I hit you because I didn't see your tailights, being rear ended and sued would be the least of your problems

I think the blacked out look would go great on a red Z... get some dark tint also

Go for it if you don't mind cop pulling you over from behind during daytime driving. I got pulled over on highway 2 weeks ago and got 3 fix tickets(tinted windows, lights, front plate) I'l just get inspection and put them back on since it's an easy DIY.

I would leave the sides alone since they are red.

There are static cling tints available. Cheap and easy to remove if you don't like them or have problems with the law.
