Talk but no walk
Below is the post the husband of the yellow Corvette posted in the same thread to the a$$ clown who was "talkin the talk but not walkin the walk"
CALLING YOU OUT ON THIS ONE LANCERMAN!!! THAT WAS SUNDAY. THAT IS MY WIFE'S CORVETTE! See that the license plate frame says "Vanessa's Corvette." You probalby did not realize we have a Viper too. She hit the gas and you would not even play...and NO, we did not talk afterwards. We saw you take that picture with your camera on Rt.59 and 75th St. You owe the forum an apology for making up this crap.

Ouch!!!, that slam is gonna hurt for a very long time....the sympathy of the Viper forums members was some of the funniest stuff I have ever read..... This is an absolute instant classic.

Anyone else notice that in post #13 the guy calls out the OP for not realizing it was a C5 when it is obvious it was a C6. Then a little later he realizes it was a C6 and states something about how the base has skinny tires on the rear and somehow the C5Z06 with 400hp and the C6 with 430hp are equals. I had enough light reading in that thread to feel like I was reading on an import forum. After reading further he was corrected by a couple guys so it was a pretty funny thread after all.

Why is it you never see a Viper with any miles on it? Even 10 year old ones usually have about 6K on them. I have to assume they're so miserable to ride in and uncomfortable, you only take them out for very, very short drives.
With that said, I still want a GTS Coupe.
And the clown that posted this is getting hammered by the Viper guys. Good for them. I bet he hides every time he sees a red Viper or yellow Vette worried that it might be that same couple. HE'S MORE FAMOUS THAN EPIC BEARD MAN!

They aren't my style, but they are bad ***, no question about that.

Got nothing to do with Vettes. Just making an observation. I'm sticking by my conviction that most Vipers made in this Century are mostly low mileage. I'll have to take your word for what's on Ebay. I don't plan to buy any car off of Ebay. I need to touch it and feel it before my money gets spent.

I understand that Vipers are nasty and I am pretty new to the Vette world. But, is there a rivalry between Vette and Viper owners? I always knew there was a competitive spirit but it kind of seems like a hostile environment over there. I have never felt this from a Viper owner in person. So, why the hate for a base coupe? I know "only" 400 hp but I never consider a mid 12 car slow even if it is a Honda.

I've actually bought 3 cars sight unseen. An NSX, an IS350, and a Vette. Lucked out each time, all cars arrived as advertised. Still, I can't believe I did it once, let alone 3 times.

That is good. Not sure I'd have the same luck. I was at Barrett-Jackson this past Friday and many were not as nice as I've seen at local car shows. The next day, when I saw them go across the auction block, they looked like a million dollars under those lights. I'll never look at Barrett-Jackson the same again.
