Navigation Help
I have a 2006 Coupe that I need to replace the Nav unit. My dealer told me the replacement must be from a YY vin (Coupe) and U3U fit. When I see units for sell they show a GM part#. What exactly do I need to know in order to buy the correct unit from a Forum member?
Thanks for your help...Doug

2009 and later C6 Nav units had BlueTooth functionality added... it *probably* would also work in your car (BT would not work of course), but I don't know that for a fact.
Be aware that anytime you add a used GM radio to your car, you will have to go back to the dealer to have the mechanic do a VIN relearn on your 'new' used radio.

Nav problems
Don't know the unit just does not respond. The radio and xm work, but the mapping system does not. The unit rotates open but does not stop for disc and rotates back. If you need to replace I do have an address that you can send your unit to be fixed that was given to me by other members.

Any NAV radio unit originally fitted to a 2005-2008 C6 Corvette will work for you. 2007-2008 units had the steering wheel controls enabled, but your 2006 doesn't have the buttons on the wheel, but the radio/nav will still work as your original did.

You will be much happier if you just put an aftermarket Nav system in. The GM Delco / Denson unit is the most user unfriendly system around. I am replacing the one in my ZR1 with a Kenwood / Garmin unit.

Matt, I had a couple members tell me they went to United Radio...unitedradio.com and they fixed the units with no problems and a very quick turn around. I talked to them and they said they could fix at a maximum cost of $475. and if they can't fix no charge. When you take in to the dealer make sure they check the antenna.
