Thanks for the responses, guys! I am not exactly sure which two fused to pull. I did pull the radio fuse lableled "RDO" and the "Accessory" fuse. Are there others I should try. I did pull every fuse that wasn't labeled with an obvious description. But maybe the amp or radio could be tied in with another system and share the same fuse?? I will be going to the dealership in the morning. If I do have to replace it, I want to get the best bang for the buck and will retain the "navigation" package.

Engine compartment: #31 Audio Amp
Passenger Footwell: Radio, S-Band, VICS (on my 2008), may differ as per model year.

Again if in doubt, pull the positive battery cable, wait 1 minute, and try again.

M....

Oop - That should be pull the NEGATIVE cable and wait 1 minute.

Did you check the 2 fuses:

Engine compartment: #31 Audio Amp
Passenger Footwell: Radio, S-Band, VICS (on my 2008), may differ as per model year.

Try disconnecting the negative cable - if that fails I would try posting in the Audio Portion of this forum.

Please let us know what happens.

Thanks,

M...

Thanks Mike Green9
I have had my C6 for only a few months and went on Vacation for 2 weeks and the battery was dead when i got back. Charged the Batt and when i started the car NO RADIO NO Navi NOTHING. I wigged out thinking I killed it charging the Batt somehow.
Done as you suggested checked fuse and then undone the Neg batt cable for 30 seconds and BAM!!! i got Van-Halen rocking out the speakers again.
Again thanks for the Post I was sweating buying a new head unit.

Perhaps this should be a sticky issue, seems to happen to a lot of folks.

Thanks so much for this, just did it and my radio now works. Thanks to you and your wife!

It worked, I had let the car sit and the battery voltage got low. All it needed was to be reset by unplugging the power .

Proof that 8 year old threads have value. More knowledge on this site than at any Chevy dealer, anywhere...

Me too: 2006 Base with base radio, 35,000 miles. Radio worked fine this morning - heading home this evening NO RADIO, and no lights on the radio. Pulled the radio fuse in the passenger footwell and it looked ok. Put it back in about two minutes later, walked around the car and went into accessory mode, and the radio was back working - with the clock reading 12:02 at 7:30 pm this evening.

THEN I went to the Corvette Forum to ask about this issue, and as so many have said "Search is Your Friend." Add me to the "lot of folks" to whom this has happened.

Same - 2009 Z06, let the battery get too low (able to barely start the car then not able to start it); charged battery but then head unit would not turn on. Pulled fuse (passenger side behind toe-kick, 3rd from right, 2nd from bottom), inspected it, was fine, put it back in then head unit came on again...

Probably not the same problem but in cold winter temps my base radio doesn’t come on immediately and sometimes not at all. Warm summer temps and there are no issues.
