What address are you guys putting into gps ?

I saw this on the website:

54575 Tamiami Trail E, Ochopee, Collier, Florida 34141

Looked it up on google and it seems to go a couple of miles past the Airport ?

On Google Maps, put in the coordinates 25.84583,-80.925322, which is the entrance to the airport, then use the Send link in the upper right to export this location to your GPS. Get out the instruction manual for your GPS if this is not familiar to you.

There is also a small green road sign that says "airport' right across from the entrance. It is a long winding road (3 miles long or so) to get to the airstrip, so don't panic and think you've taken the wrong turn!

Later all!

Im thinking of having my portable gps mounted to the bottom of the windshield, and having the video camera also mounted to the top of the windshield. The resulting shot (with wide angle lens) will have the gps with speed indication, and some hood / road.

Anyone know if there are any rules against mounting things to the windshield ?

You'll be fine. That's where I put my GPS and video camera...and then I mount another video cam on the passenger side window. No worries!

**The NASTY ZO6 is all ready to go: fluids checked, tire psi set, lugs torqued, etc. Support vehicle is all packed up and ready to go!**

Default Great Times

We had a great time, Mike, Joe, and the whole crew were very helpfull.
I had a long day, 4:30am wake up to 9:30pm getting back home.
I was able to go 179.987? even though I was bouncing off the rev limiter, car would not shift to 6th. I saved 2 of my 4 time slips. it was mentioned that people with GPS were showing 4-5 mph higher readings, but to compare apples to oranges is not right, if the promoter makes a correction to the times run by participants that will work other wise the GPS mph mean nothing!!
Next time we will all have our Sheeeet together!!
taller tires for me for sure, I went thru the 3/4 at 6880 rpm and it stayed in 5th, some changes in my tune, since I was at 11.30 afr, just a tad rich.
To all the guys that helped thanks.
Mike the beers at the end helped me relax, I'll bring beer next time
CeeeYaa

It really was great to meet everybody, nice group of folks for sure! We really had a great day no doubt about it.

I ran 167 first run, 165 with my buddy Mike 2nd run and I don't have a ticket for my 3rd run. I reached 183 top speed before I let out according to my HP Tuners scan on my third run. I was the small dog there compared to the modded Z06's like Nasty Z06 doing 195...that thing is a beast.

It was a ton of fun.

Here's some helmet cam videos... Flip camera taped to my helmet.. It was quite a rig but it worked reasonably well.

My buddy Steve was filming with HD and the shifter cart spun right in front of him...he's got great video, he'll post it up here soon. The sidewall of that tire completely blew all the way around at 180 mph+....

That motorcycle engine on a shifter cart was the scariest thing I've ever seen. That dude was a cool guy...I would have never ridden that thing. His first run was 185 IIRC.

Here's the beast...

I had to avoid the remains of that shifter kart tire at 150 mph (on drag radials) !

Oh Im liking how nice the auto shifts... no rev limiters, no missing gears !

Nice meeting everyone.

Sorry I bailed early but had to get home to tend my pets. I got 2 runs in.
First was a good run 174mph. Second run missed 3rd gear. After a recovery I manage 168
On the 174 run my GPS displayed 177 but I assum I was still in the gas past the finish line.
a few pics

in Tech line

Had a passenger for the second run will edit it later. OK vid cant read the GPS though, It displayed 170 and slip read 168.

Had a blast. Very addicting just like the 1/4 mile

Here is short vid of my second run.
