Default Info from the factory

I just got a call from a very good vette source. He said he saw 15 anniversary vettes at the factory. He confirmed the anniversary red color. It has a two tone light neutral/grey kind of like the Tahoe. There is no black inside the car and the inside of the door panel is split half neutral & grey. The shift **** is tan. He said the emblems have not been placed on the car yet. He also said he saw a charcoal colored vette (like the tahoe/pick up color).

:D

All looks...........? Neutral/grey interior? Sounds like my beater Hyundai!! I'm glad I didn't wait for one. However, it will be a dealer's paradise. I can see it now. "Newbies" lining up to pay MSRP +. GM will sell all they can make.

It should have been GOLD

No no two tone interior like the Tahoes. From what I hear the car looks sharp!
We'll all see for ourselves soon enough!

Is 50 the Ruby Anniversary?
Is 50 the Charcoal Anniversary?
Is 50 the Slower Than A Mustang Anniversary?

It appears so.

Stupid me for thinking it was the Golden Anniversary.

Fifty years is celebrated with... a neutral/tan interior? Ho-hum. At least they're still making Z06s...

Not surprised, just disappointed. Just have to wait another two years for C6.

I heard from a good source that some of the Corvette colors are changing for 2003 models. Pewter is being replaced by Spiral Grey Metallic, there is a new black metallic and the 50th anniversary models will be Anniversary Red Metallic, which replaces Mag Red II.

I'm sure the rumor about new colors is true. I saw a car transport heading north on US101. There were 7 corvettes with some colors I've never seen before. It was going the opposite direction, and it caused me to do a double take.

Sorry....I really wanted the Magna Steyr retro 53, to be the C6 design.....

If I had the cash..this is definitely the ONE mod I'd make...since GM is not going to do it.

Jumping Jesus Christ! This car should be RED/WHITE over RED/WHITE! That is the ultimate classic vette. Blood and Purity! They should throw a little chrome on it if they want to spruce it up--Nobility!
