Problem starting after winter
My '08 was in the barn all winter with a battery tender attached and yes it was plugged in.
I went out to start it and all lights go on, but the starter clicks but won't turn over. I tried charging and starting with a remote battery and same thing.
Could something happened to the starter over the winter, or is the battery still at fault?
I'd hate to replace the battery and find out that it's the starter.
As an aside, the '73 started right up on the first try with the same tender attached.
Thanks

Sounds like what happen to me a couple of years back. Turned out to be a little corrosion on the battery terminals. Try cleaning them and reconnecting, might work for you.

Had the same issues with mine today, wouldn't open with the fob in my pocket, but it did when I hit the button. When trying to start, nothing... tried it a few times and then I got the "no fob" message. Put the fob in the glovebox slot and it started up
Started a few times afterwards, no more issues...
Almost appears that the car had to be remembered to recognize the fob...
(mine was hooked up to battery tender all winter as well...)

Assuming the battery is good(?) and if both battery cables were connected during the storage period when the charger was connected to the battery, try disconnecting the the negative cable for about 60 seconds and then reconnect. This may help.

Definitely sounds like a battery issue. Clean up the connections and make sure they are good and tight. If that doesn't work have a place like Autozone test the battery.
I had a problem a few years back with my negative cable causing problems like that.

Yup, that was it. I had corrosion that broke the contact. The battery is fine.
Now, why the corrosion?? Something I need to worry about?
