Default Should I do it? 02 C5 for a 2010 grand sport??

I'm thinking about trading in my 02 coupe for a 2010 grand sport with the a6 paddle shifters. Can someone give me the pros and cons of the c6? Should I stick with my c5? 436 hp sounds like a lot of fun. Can someone let me know about the transmission? Is it good or going to break on me down the road.

What would you do. Don't worry about the money. I want to know what car I'll be happy with. Keep in mind I do a lot of mountain road driving.

Thanks

I've had 5 c6s. The gs is the best of them all. Nothing like a wide body vert with an mn6!!

Keep your powder dry for another month or two (at least). The serious financial incentives for 2010s haven't kicked in yet. With sales even worse than last year, we might be close to something like 0% or $4k off 2010 models.

What are you talkin' about................I just got $7500 off on a GS order placed in Febuary.
No need to wait if you have the resources now.

"Just Do It!" You won't regret it for even a millesecond. I live in the mountains of northern NM and do the curvy stuff daily.

I was in a similiar position as you. Had an 02 vert that I bought new w/ 50,000 miles. Beautiful car, not a thing wrong with it. I was going to wait a couple more years before I got a new one, but a wide body, with the suspension and wheel set up offered in a vert was more than I could pass up. I live in the foothills of the Ozarks with lots of winding 2 lane roads and this thing is unbelievable. No comparison to my 02.
I listed my old car on the forum and flea bay and ordered a new one from Tommy Jr. Only downside was that my car sold on flea bay the day after posting and I had to go 2 months without a vett.
Absolutely no regrets and I would recommend Tommy Jr at MacMulkin. I don't know if he is still doing it, but he sold it to me at GM employee price and I picked it up at the museum. Check that one off the bucket list.

If you can afford to do it, then do it. However, I'd wait till the bash next month just to see what's coming. Deals may be better then too.

Go for the GS in a minute. Depending on how much $$ you have to spend I would also look at a year or two old low miles Z-06 or the new 2011 Carbon Z-06.
