Default Did you update your garage for your vette?

Patiently waiting for winter to end and my 'baby' looks just sad sitting there on the plain old concrete and dull painting!
I was looking around at some DIY projects and saw epoxy coating, roll out mats, and even snap together rubberized mats. Anyone out there have any experience with any of these products?
My garage needs a face-lift bad..

Wow nice. To bad I only have one vette to park in my garage..
Those tiles look great, are they the rubberized snap togethers?

Garage is fully heated. The tiles are CVT (commercial vynil tiles) from home depot. Very inexpensive and very durable....Less than $400 total for a 2 car garage.

Yea, got to love typical Chicago weather. Nothing like 6"+ of snow to ruin your day.
I'm trying to get some ideas and/or some advice. That racedeck site has some great ideas but they don't have any costs. Anyone have some ballpark figures? Or any reviews on the sticky tiles?(link below)

Looks great and very affordable. That means more money for mods!

Are they peel and stick or need a separate adhesive?

To be clear I chose to go the safe route. I acid etched the floor twice with Muriatic acid. repaired any small imperfections in the concrete so it is smooth. Laid down a section of the Vynil Adhesive after my chalklines for a straighedge and applied the tiles to the adhesive and let cure overnight. Went back and did the other half of the garage the next day. Tiles and a huge tub of adhesive was under $400 and that is Cdn so you probably get it much cheaper in the U.S. as well. I also park the tires on 4 pieces of carpet to avoid staining the floor when I enter with hot tires. Stains etc actually clean up easy with mild steel wool. The floor takes a beating and keeps going. The other problem is it is really slippery when wet..especially after waxing the floor

I needed more space and added 2 more deep to a 2 car garage. Added a lift, redid the floor, insulated and heated. Nice but the price kept climbing from estimate, should of just got a ZR1 way but the house will hold the value better, at least thats the thinking,,,lol.

They all look great guys!

Aserak good thread! As I too am looking for some ideas.

New GS due in a few weeks. Working on the garage now.

Just finished sanding all the mud work, probably prime it over the weekend. Still debating on the color palet. Gonna go with the the snap together rubber/vinyl tiles. Cant do epoxy or sticky tile as I have a little bit of hydrostatic pressure.

Been searching craigslist for a kitchen cabinet set. Figured I could paint to match and a lot less than the Craftsman or Gladiator garage cabinets.

Also going to install a wall mounted vac & detail station. Thinking about a lift. Already have the beer fridge!

Gotta pick up some lights and some diamond plated outlet & switch covers.

For those of you who already did you garage anything you would do different or cant do without? I've got a blank canvas to work with and want to do it right. Aprx 24'x24'

Doesn't need to be grandiose...

Whatever fits your style and budget.

I like some kind if custom / treated floor and paint on the walls.

I like the fact that I have created a little special home for my baby...

Built a 24x24 in 1997...but it was already full (C5, Harley & SSR)....built a 14x20 in addition to it for the SSR to make room for the C6Z in the 24x24..

Wifey said it had to look nice....so....I made it look nice

Overhead door faces the alley...Thus the SSR (with more ground clearance) lives here...

The C6Z now lives here...

Added a carport for our DDs last year...

I put gladiator cabinets and their freezonator in my garage. I had everything stored on top of a table before and I start becoming worried that something will fall off and hit the Vette.

The freezonator is great. Bottom have is a freezor, top is either a freezor or fridge (as in my case).
