Hey you A6 tranny guys I have a question, does your car make loud noises every time you touch the brake pedal?
Mine has started making two noises, the first is a relay in the relay panel on the passenger side firewall which clicks every time the brake pedal is pressed and the second is the shifter lock out mechanism in the shifter which makes a very loud noise but only when the shifter is in park and the brake pedal is pressed.
I never remember hearing either of these noises before and now all of a sudden both are there. The folks at the Chevy dealer say it’s a little loud but perfectly normal, so my question is how loud is the noise in your car?

The shifter lockout on my wife's A6C6 is pretty loud. She's probably used to it by now but when I drive it I hear it big time. No biggie. I quickly get over the normal noises.

I can hear mine easily but is it loud it is difficult to say. Doesn't bother me.
