Great looking vette. (both of them) Beautiful house too. Our grass looks like that too. Wonder where Pinky lives that they don't have brown grass. Must not be somewhere with 20 degree temps or snow.

I have no other option grand sport girly...It's part of the kit....if they are taken off, you'll have a couple of holes and a indention of where it should be...Rather than order myself a GS, I just upgraded my 08 with 10k miles since it's paid for...

Have you considered having custom badges made with some form of personalized word/phrase, maybe in black-chrome.

Try contacting Austin Barnett (do a search for examples of his fine work) for some options on the only part of your upgrade that's an 'issue' for the purists.

Car looks great IMO and I'm considering getting GS Badges that say 'Supercharged' when the time (and money) comes for more mods.

It's kind of one of the things she will unfortunately have to put up with. I know when some guys convert to the Z front "with" the badge instead of filling the holes those poor guys were drug through the mud. It can get pretty ugly. My guess is she's tough and can stand up for herself.

If the badge police get to ya , you can install euro marker lights in place of the badge , they cover the holes nicely.

That light "might" be a little small.

Default Verrry Nice!

Well done! The cars are beautiful. My wife and I are a little jealous.

As for the badges, just remember that it won't matter until 30 years from now, when your car crosses the Mecum auction block. I imagine that the commentators will say,

"Here is an example of a replica GS. Some unscrupulous woman back in 2010 took her 08 convertible, spent a lot of money and made it look like a 2010 Grand Sport. She probably had to endure some grief from the on-line forums that were popular back then. But then she probably loved driving it. So instead of the $300,000 (inflation) for a normal GS, the car will probably only go for $250,000."

Bravo. Good for you. Your car is just as much a "Grand Sport" vert, as one which came from the factory. You did the exact same thing that the factory did, and there really is no reason for you to remove them if you like them and leave holes in the car.

If GM has the right to put a Grand Sport badge on the ones they built at the factory, then if you and your husband have built the exact same car that they did, then you have just as much right to put "Grand Sport" on yours as they do theirs. Yours is just as much of a grand sport as theirs is. Where is the difference?

If you are going to go this far, well then the WTH badges may as well stay. Why disfigure the car attempting to be badge correct?

Nicely done. As well as the factory anyway. Smart move, economic move, why drop any more money than what you did for a "real" Grand Sport, when yours, an '08, a "paid for" '08, is just as much of a Grand Sport as one coming out of Bowling Green.

I was at Ft Rucker for about 7 months during the late 70s and lived in Ozark. Did you have the panels painted locally or rodered pre-painted? Very nice Vert

Well, I do like these but agree they are played out....all of the other ones I like are quite expensive, so for now, these will do.....upgrade later.

If you have nothing nice to say......keep it to yourself.

any further pot stirring, antagonizing or other will earn you a vacation.

Don't like the car? Don't like the mods? Don't respond...move on. Plenty of other threads.

Can't comply? Lemme know.
