Never been in the rain
When I drove by the Corvette plant in Bowling Green this past week I thought about all those posts where owners said their Vette had never been in the rain. I spent two days in Bowling Green and it rained, sleeted, and snowed on all those beautiful cars outside. My visit at the museum was over the top. I don't think you could find a nicer bunch of people.

Mine was out in the elements before I bought it, but more importantly that it hasn't been driven in the rain, because that's how the rest of the car gets really dirty. If it happens, it happens, but I'm still trying to keep it a little cleaner for a little longer.

That's one reason all my vette's since 1972 have been DD in ALL weather and I've never experienced a problem nor have they fallen apart.

Drove my 07 home from Kerbeck's to Maryland in the rain and snow. I try not to take it out when the roads are bad. This make it easier to keep it looking good.

My car's been in the rain at least once. My daughter and I flew to Connecticut to pick it up. Made it 625 miles and got caught in the rain 75 miles from home.

Mine came off a showroom floor at a dealership in North Georgia. I drove it home 3+ hours in a heavy downpour through the mountains.
Didn't hurt it one bit.
It went from being spotless to a pure dirtball.
They clean up really well.

I know the car dos not melt and, all the other cute sayings others come up with. However, in the end it is the owners choice. I choose not to drive my car in the rain, just as I chose what color, options, and how much money to spend on my Vette. I also choose to drive my SUV in the rain & snow.

Anybody over the age of 10 would feel safer and rightly so in a SUV in the snow & rain. Oh, you could lie and say thats not at all true. However, you would only be lying to yourself.

mine has been caught in the rain about 2 times, not for long though. 1 time I was on the freeway and it just started to come down, had to pull over and out the darn top back on.

Perfect!
Absolutely true. Your money, your car, your choice. I had a good friend with a '78 pace car. It was driven to the gas station once a year - period. But it was touched, admired, & detailed every!! weekend. Made him very happy to do it that way.
