Exhaust thread
Well I went ahead and bought a set of B&B Bullets... Well I have to say I am disappointed. These things are WAYYYY to loud. When I bought them I always heard they were very loud but DANG! Going to try to find a set of Corsa sports or Stingers...

I have the Corsa Sport and love them. Do you homework before purchasing the next mufflers just in case you don't like the sound, go on their website and you can listen to the different sounds and they will also tell you how loud they are at idle, acceleration, etc, you can also gp on youtube and do a search and there are many corvettes with different exhaust systems. Happy hunting

I always thought the same thing. On yt and other sites they sounded amazing. At 60 MPH they are WAY to loud. They sound good at idle and under acceleration but when cruising its way to loud

You might like the B&B Fusion Exhaust. I've had it for a few months....
Comes with a remote control to switch from loud to quiet mode. The loud mode rivals the Bullets. The quiet mode sounds stock. For long highway drives between 1500-2000 RPM's the quiet mode is heaven.

I played the exhaust game with a previous car. Very hard to do research with youtube and website vids. The best and only way is to find someone with a similar setup to your own (i.e. headers, intake, whatever) then go for a ride to evaluate. Anything and everything can change that exhaust note.
Just an fyi, go to one of the large Corvette meets C5/C6 Bash or Carlise, anything and everything is there for the choosing and listening.
Good luck! Keep us posted how it goes.

Many people equate loudness with performance. That isn't the case. I don't know which pipe will give the best performance but I like my Corsa Sport. It's not too loud but they wake up when you womp on it. Many people like the extremes but I would personally find them too loud. The strange part is that I ride a Harley and a Big Dog with extraordinarily loud pipes. I've been known to set off car alarms from over a block away. For some strange reason I don't like it that loud in my car.

Hmm... thats interesting. I wish I would have known that before buying. They dont sound terrible but they are a bit much. Anything over 20 miles is
I hear ya....
With my B&B Fusion exhaust, I enjoy the loud exhaust during city driving, but once I get on the freeway for a long drive, I use quiet mode. The quiet mode is pretty much like stock, but with a slightly more aggressive growl to it. It trips people out while riding in my car that I can instantaneously eliminate the drone by hitting the button on the remote. Maybe if you contacted B&B you could work something out? I think if you explained to them that you want to stick with one of their products they might offer you some sort of "trade in" value for your Bullets. Just a thought...
