Default ***WARNING Super Low C6 pics HERE***

So I decided to have the car lowered last week. I didn't want to cut any corners (or bushings) so I decided to go with the super high quality Delrin Hardbar bolts for the rear assuming the stock front bolts would do the job as I hadn't heard of anyone on here needing aftermarket bolts for the front. Well, if you wanna get low, and I mean low - you need the bolts so I had the Delrins also installed in the front and turned almost all the way down.

The center of the front wheel well fender is 25 1/2'' from the ground and the rear is 26 3/4'' approximately. I now have less than 2 inch clearance for front plastic guard and it scrapes on everything now.

The car rides great, no strange noises, no rubbing on sharp turns and I love the aggressive stance. I had Dan at Vetteworks in Auburn WA do the install and I was very impressed with the quality work he did. I reccomend him and Delrin Hardbar to anyone.

I embedded all the pics now so you guys don't have to clink on links.

Gonna wait a few weeks for everything to settle and then fine tune for even height side to side and front to rear before alignment

Vetteworks? Do you mean Dan Tumia at Corvettes of Auburn?

Great full service shop. GMPP Warranty work as well.

In a few weeks when you are ready for the alignment, I bet you will also be ready to raise it back up. That is just too low and is going to start costing you money. Better buy spare air deflectors and lower radiator support now.

It's too low to be practical. Good luck.

I'm glad you can do things like that. Chicago potholes would eat that car alive!!

My wife's C6 vert is that low. Been that way for a year now and all is fine. The trick is adjustable shocks (QA1s in this case) that help keep it from bouncing too low AND trimming the air dams a bit to minimize the scraping on road crowns under braking and driveways. Her car is a tad stiffer than my Z06 but not at all to an uncomfortable degree. That's how she wants it so we made it work. And every time I watch her drive it my first thought is how seriously great it looks that way.

The car is actually lower now (in the front) than when this pic was taken

Is the only reason to do this for the track? I could not see putting that on the road unless you wanted to be the one scraping up all of the dead squirrels, but then where would you put them when they clogged up your air filter?

It looks good--sitting still.

mine is slammed also and I would NEVER lift it back up. If you know how to drive being lowered isnt a problem. Looks great!

Looks awesome. Mine is lowered but not quite that far. I have had a 2 of my plastic spoilers destroyed. Most recent was Friday night, I hit a small block of ice on the highway. I'm thinking about taking it off for good.
