It can....I have to weigh my car at least annually for classification at the track. My car isn't stock...I've added quite-a-few things and removed a few things. Without driver and about 1/4 tank of fuel my car is about 3200 lbs.

They should all weigh in the neighborhood of 3200 pounds.

Weighed mine about a month ago with a half tank and here is the result(2008 base coupe):

A friend of mine weighed his 07 the same day and it came in at 3260

2011 2LT with A6, F55, and NPP showed 3234 pounds on the shipping documents.

Weighed my 08 A6 1LT last year at the drag strip... 3177 with less than 1/4 tank of gas...

My 08 weighed 3080 with just under a 1/4 tank of gas in it.
