2007 vs 2008
Im in the market for a 07/08 vette. Besides the age differance and horsepower is there any clear options/improvements that would make you make you buy one or the other?

Carefully read the link in JimTN's post. Lots of improvments for 08. And it was the first year for JetStream Blue.
That said, if I was shopping, I would include the 07's... might find a great bargain.
Enjoy the hunt, it's a buyer's market. And welcome to the Forum!

I have an 07. Test drove the 08. Didn't really get a chance to check the power but the steering and gear shifts certainly were improved in 08. Hands down it's the 08. Sorry I missed the LS3 by 1 yr.

In 2005, the LS2 was the beast. And as far as Jet stream blue goes, well you can't get Lemans Blue in 2008. My measly 400 hp will scare the crap out of me, it's all kind of relative. The only thing I would trade my lowly LS2 for would be a 427, but I don't see that happening.eddie

As far as price, check out "C6 Dealer Inventory" and "C6's For Sale'' tabs. That's where I did a lot of my research. Learned quite a bit from this website already.

Steering and transmission were improved on the 08s. As far as the interior I don't see any differences. Unlike the car mags I think the interiors are nice. I had a student who was driving an 09 M3 compliment the interior of my 08Z when I took him around the track. The M3 interior was really bland and basic.

There is no right or wrong answer. It's whatever is better for you.
If the 2 cars are identical in terms of options and in the same condition, you will pay about $3k less for the 2007. So, it is up to you if the added 30 HP and the other minor tweaks are worth the additional dollars you will pay for the 2008.

Go for an 08 with the optional NPP exhaust
By all means go for an for 08 with the NPP exhaust. It makes all the difference in the world. Before you buy I highly recommend you make contact with somebody that has the NPP with the mild to wild switch and experience the difference.
