Gen Culley is a stand up guy
I ordered Z51 sway bars from Gene that arrived in a box that was in terrible condition. It was oily on the bottom and had a large hole in the end. I opened it up and found that the bushings and grease were missing. There were broken ties in the box and the bubble wrap was off. I emailed Gene about the condition of the box and he assured me that that was not the original condition of the box. We can only think that rough handling caused a bar to poke through the box. I contacted UPS to put in a damage claim Gene thought it was useless as they never pay. Even though I am sure that this was not his fault and feel that UPS should pay for the bushings, Gene immediately sent out new bushing UPS 2nd day air. Now, this is my definition of a stand up guy.
Gene, I thank you for your service and going beyond what one would expect. You have a solid customer and supporter here.

The is one more reason why we should buy from and support our CF supporting vendors. Kudo's to Gene for taking care of his customer and to the OP for taking the time to share this. Too often all we read about is the negative.
They are the first place I shop.

So why would a company not switch shippers if you never get paid on a claim HHHMMM!!
Because all the companies that ship pretty much act the same way. As someone who has used all of the major shipping companies in my business, it's just something you have to deal with. UPS is about as good (or as bad) as the rest. We do on occassion get UPS to pay a claim, but the effort involved usually isn't worth it.

The problem will be that the packaging is not to their correct standards.
If you package it the way they want it, you will have to jack the costs up and then you have unhappy customers.
