Vbox Pulls in My Bone Stock LS3
I am back visiting in NJ and went out the other night with a buddy of mine with his Vbox. This guy has a Gallardo so we wanted to see how our cars would compare. His Gallardo did 6.5 seconds 40-100 and 10.1 seconds 60-130 with perfect traction due to his all wheel drive. After looking at his results, we went out to a closed course and tried out my car.
Due to traction issues, I had to constantly start my 40-100 pulls in third gear. This kept producing 7.0 second 40-100 times. Disappointed with all of my pulls, On my last run, I decided "what the hell" and went for it in second. I took off from 40 and had to short shift at 65MPH because traction was gone, hit third, hit fourth, and looked at the results.
40-100: 6.6 seconds
60-130: 10.5 seconds
Not bad but I feel that the car still has a lot left in it because traction was a major issue. I think that if the car fully hooks, a 6.4 or better is easily obtainable 40-100 and a low 10 for the 60-130 time.
What do you guys think? Also, has anybody done any Vbox pulls of their own? For comparisons sake, this was done with a full tank of gas and a 170lb passenger.
