With mine it was the rear fluid and they knew about it. It only made noise when I backed out of the garage and into the street. I called the dealership and they told me to bring it in and they will take care of it. They drained the old stuff and put in the new and improved stuff. Noise is gone.

I had mine corrected under TSB 07-04-20-002A (01/09/2008) Subject Rear Axel Clunk and/or Chatter Type Noise on Turns (Drain/Refill Rear Differential Fluid).

Also improved low end performance in heavy traffic, stopped the car from bucking at low speed.

Just provide the TSB number and if they give you a hard time go to another dealer.

Had mine done several weeks ago. Just said is was chattering in reverse and on really tight turns. Zero problems, no grief. All (o.k. ALMOST all) dealerships are aware of this fix. Was in n out in 90 min. R/R diff fluid. N/C

I took my 2007 to one dealer and they knew about the fluid replacement but told me it didn’t need it to fix the noise problem; instead they said they found the axels needed more torque and made the adjustment. It seemed fine at first but within a day the noise was back. I took it to another dealer and they replaced the fluid under warranty and I haven’t had a problem since.

Some dealers are just better than others and the one who fixed my problem will continue to get my business.

Dealers don't seem to fully understand the importance of this or simply don't take the time.
