Best Replacement Battery?

I'm headed for the same boat as others posting here. I had to use the key again today to gain entry after only a few days of non-use. When new, I could get away with 3-4 weeks. Now 3-4 days (and that's with a fully-charged battery at the beginning of the period). Battery takes a charge so forget any chance of a warranty claim. Battery Tender does the job, but what if I'm out travelling? Thinking Optima Yellow Top with its emphasis on reserve capacity and (supposedly) superior recharge rate. Car doesn't need much cranking power to start, but you sure need a bunch of reserve capacity out on the road. Take note GM: Fix this BS in the C7!

I pushed my vette outside this morning and attempted to jump start it but got nowhere. I don't know if that's because the battery is completely shot or not. I through in the towel and bought a Optima red top at Napa and just enjoyed a nice cruise. I now have a smile on my face that was not there this morning..
Yes it cost me money that I should not have had to spend but the guys at Napa are still in business.

I don't know if they are high volume Corvette dealers or not but they are the biggest and only Chevrolet dealers left in the area.

The Red Top is good for having the most cranking power.

Installed myself. It's a battery no real mechanical knowledge needed. Not much larger if at all.

Jumped into this one pretty late, but I am an Interstate fan. Never had one go bad in the 20 years I have been buying them and normally get 7-8 years out of them.
Had one in my C5 that lasted 8 years. I have one in the wifes PT and it is going on 6 years. The one in my C4 was 7 years old when I sold the car.
Had one in my 84 BMW 633 restoration project car, and it sat for almost 6 months with no tender attached to it and started right up when I could finally drive it again.
Just put one in the C6 a few weeks ago.
Won't even consider anything else, based on what I see with other brands.

The optima is 3 years and nothing more.
If I get 3 years or more of trouble free operation I will be happy.
I installed the battery tender quick connects perminately on the battery so I just pop the hood and hook up the charger when I pull in the garage. I dont plan on having anymore battery issues.
My Vette sat at the dealership for a year and half before I purchased it so that battery had been cycled a number of times I'm sure.
If I knew then what I know now I would have made them replace battery before purchase.

The 84 months is prorated. You actually get 2.5 years free replacement.

I just checked them. Good-to-go. FOBs are away from the car when not in use. I did finally go out and attach the Battery Tender Jr's permanent battery attachment (like I should have done earlier). Now I can at least recharge the dead battery (if that happens again) without climbing through the trunk...

I had one of their batteries leak acid all over the engine compartment on another car. The leak originated from the side terminal. This battery had both top terminals and side terminals. They paid for damages and new battery.
