I am looking for a "427" patch. The embroidered type like could be ironed on or sewn on. Any suggestion on where to purchase one?

Do a search on eBay, there are several different kinds available and they are not expensive.

I did search ebay, and all that came up was cobra-shelby stuff. I want just the numbers in red just like the hood emblems. There are alot of decals/stickers that have the 427 or the flags etc but not embroidered material. Thanks for the advice....any other ideals?

I've never seen a patch like what you're looking for. Stickers and emblems, yes. No patches, though.

Local embroidery shops may be able to duplicate what you want directly onto the item of choice.

Copy and paste the descriptions above in ebay and it will take you to a patch. The 427 Corvette patch is not red but it is selling for $4.99.
The Z06 Patch does have some red and sells for the same price. Best I could do.
