Good to know

The 7002 replaces the 7000. I started selling these after the 7000 was replaced so I don't know anything about the older 7000.

Just found out from C-TEK

The CTEK Multi US 7002 is the next generation of charger 7A charger with a
lot more functions for safer, quicker and simplified charging. That's the
short answer. The detailed answer is, that the main differences beteween the
7000 and 7002 are:
. Higher pulse frequence during desulfation, which speeds up
this process
. Built-in timer for Soft Start that alerts the user that the
battery isn't accepting charge
. A more advanced algorithm to detemine that the battery is
fully charged, that detects parallel load and aged batteries
better.
. A built-in Analyze step that checks if the battery to keep
the charge. This step will both detect aged batteries
and batteries with a shortened cell.
. The Recond step is integrated in the charge cycle instead of
being separate
. Maintenance charge is a combination of Float (for maximized
capacity) and Pulse (for maximized life) that is unique for
CTEK. 7000 has on Pulse.

Got mine it two days ago!!! Planning on extending the "eyelet connection" about 8 inches. That way I can run the connector to right behind the license plate, and just plug it in from there.
