My apologies to anyone who bought this color, but...
In my humble opinion, it is a crime against the gods of style.
"Ontario orange" is it? As a person who lives close to Ontario, CA, I think the color's name is pretty accurate.
I took this with my cell while driving. I've seen that poor vette nearly every day for the last year. Something tells me the paint is one of the reasons the dealership cannot unload this thing.

I also like that color. Atomic Orange is the color that followed Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic. Don't know if I'd own a Vette that color but then again there's people that HATE Velocity Yellow too.

when I was looking for a 70/71/72 vert it had to be ontario orange or elkhart green. And with the amount that have been sold,IT MIGHT BE YOU with the bad taste.

When I was shopping for a C6, I was torn between yellow and Atomic Orange. I preferred yellow, but was having trouble finding a car to my spec in that colour. So I put it to a vote - two really good pics side by side, to show a C6 in each colour, same angle, similar light, etc.
Overwhelmingly, people loved the orange (except a few who hated both
Trying to figure this out, I was contemplating the pictures and realized what was happening: The yellow was a solid colour. That means that the car is yellow always. Unlike the yellow, the orange is metallic, and takes far more of its final colour and appearance from its surroundings. In the photo I was showing, the orange car was on a white surface, and wow did that make the orange pop. But in many other pictures (and on many streets), the car is on a darker surface, and the reflected darkness makes the orange look muddy and brown and dull.
This is what's happening to the car in OP's pic - it looks bad in that lot because it's on a dark surface surrounded by black cars. Take that car somewhere bright, and you'll swear it's a different colour.

To me, it looks like my nephew's apricot baby food with glitter mixed in, but clearly it's just one man's opinion. =P
Give me red, blue, yellow, black or silver any day of the week over this. Call me a purist. Or call me a dumbass. Just don't call me before 9. My free minutes don't start till then.

That still looks like Daytona Orange to me, as its too dark in the sun, or his camera just sucks as much as his tastes in color do.

I love Atomic orange, That was my second choice behind VR...
Now I cant stand the dark Vette colors like CRM and anything else that burgundy..
Dosent look sharp to me on a vette, to each his own though

Chill guys...so a n0ob shows up and makes an azzhat out of himself right away...it happens. I mean, come on...just one look at his avatar tells you we're dealing with a fairly effeminate personality. Go easy before you make 'em cry.

Haha, black and red corvette owners have no taste? Man, why aren't people jumping down YOUR throat?
