C6 Trailering tiedown
I just purchased a 2007 C6 and I am going to be loading it in a car trailer
Any hints on tie down areas. There are slots in the frame behind the front wheels and in front of the back wheels. What are they meant for?Anyone know

You can use those slots, there are four of them, to tie down the car if the transport company has the right hardware. Many just use straps over the tires.
These slots are normally used for Jacking Pucks that attach by using the slots and create a jacking point. If you don't use these pucks or some other way of protecting your car, a typical tire shop (or many uneducated GM dealerships) will damage your rocker panels.
Congrats on the new car and welcome to the Forum. I hope you can get some miles in before the snow hits.

Not only can you use those slots, that's the real reason they're there. It's also where you lift the car from so jacking pucks were designed to fit into those slots, but the slots are there so the car can be tied down while on a trailer.

I trailer my C6 almost weekly and IMO using the oval frame slots is the best way to secure the car. Assuming your tie-down points are compatible, get some heavy ratchet straps with the T-hooks, criss-cross the straps and ratchet each strap tight. Oh yea, make sure the ratchet straps have the flat snap-hooks so you can easily attach the t-hooks to the straps.
