Nope, a friend of mine up here hit 100k on his 2005 Machine Silver vert a very long time ago. He's now up to more than 140k!

To put things in perspective, I had more problems in 3,000 miles with my last C6 than you've had in 100K miles with yours...

It's a crapshoot whether or not you get a decent car or a complete lemon. I'm 0-3 and doubt I'll ever buy another.

I hope the car keeps holding up well for you.

Very cool.. Great report! Any signs of where the oil is going? Leaks? smoke? leaky valve guides maybe.. usually first to wear and leak..

The only concern at moment is that I use to not need to add oil between scheduled maintenance (i'm old school and change oil at 3k miles). A few times the "check oil level" notice would show which meant I was 1 1/2 qts down. This only happened 3 or 4 times. However, this period I used a qt of oil in 1400 miles. Going to discuss when get service next week.

I've had 6 Vettes. Most miles ever put on was 162,000. Almost all had over 100k miles.

Keep the wave !

Do you normally sell them privately or trade them for new? Is it hard to find a buyer with such high mileage?

I have 70,000 on my 05, and will have over 100K before I sell. I know I'll take a hit, but I intend to enjoy the car and continue to rack up the miles.

Have replaced water pump twice, sway bar connections three times, differential clutch packs once, changed clutch fluid twice, replaced serpentine belt once, air filters four times , am on third set of tires (plus two that had to be replaced due to nails / road hazard....thank goodness for road hazard insurance)

Have washed it approximately 230 times, polished and/or waxed about 50 times

Now working on the second 100,000 miles !!!

hhhmmmm.... I don't think the water pump should crap out every 40K miles, if this is normal then it doesn't say much for the reliability of the car... it's 2009, water pumps should last minimum 100K...
