This just a little public service announcement about future dealings with Iconz Wheels. A brief summary below.
I was impressed by Daniel's (Iconz rep here on the forum) initial emails in that he was prompt in his responses and very thorough. After countless emails (I bothered him a lot and he was there every step of the way)I made the decision to go with a set of 830'z. Daniel told me it would take no longer than 2 to 3 weeks. I noticed on the forum he advertised 3 to 4 weeks so I was thinking it would be fantastic if I got them a bit earlier. I put down the initial deposit and couldn't wait to get my brand new set of wheels.
Second week
I shoot Daniel an email wondering how the build was coming. He assures me everything is looking good and that the wheels were at the finisher.
Third week
He says they're still at the finisher and should be done anytime now.
Fourth week
He says 2 wheels have returned from the finisher and that he's waiting on the other two. I found it odd that only 2 wheels would be sent back but what do I know about the wheel making process. I messaged him again at the end of week 4 and he responded with this
"Almost Todd. Hang in there my man. We are still waiting on the other two centers to return. You want them to come out perfect, right? Don't worry, you will have your wheels soon enough. I guarantee that! "
I found the little emoticon a little insulting and wondered about his comment of about the wheels perfect thing. Does that mean they would do a lesser job if they sent them out?
Fifth week
He replies to me saying things like he has other customers in the same boat as me and he's backed up with SEMA special. He also says the other 2 wheels are still at the finisher that's why only 2 of them were ready to be picked up. My beef here is that we all know SEMA is a busy time, why didn't he propose a longer wait time? He concludes with telling me to message him on Monday.
Sixth week
I message him and he says he was out of town but would respond to me tomorrow. I tell him this is growing a bit tiresome and he needed to send my wheels ASAP or just cancel the order. He replies 2 days later and assured me I'm not being jerked around. He tells me again that he has customers in the same boat as me. He tells me it will be worth the wait and this production manager said they will ship next week. He tells me to contact him on Monday.
Seventh Week
I message him and tells me they will be ready to ship by tuesday or Wednesday. He also says he has "pushed" my order ahead of others. He said they will be done ASAP and he will get me pictures of them.
Wednesday - He says they are almost done.
Thursday - He says they are just about at the finish line. This was my tipping point. I contacted my card company and opened a chargeback case. I thought if anything this would get their butts in gear. He messages me and tells me his manager Mitchell wants to talk to me. I was busy at work all day but I did talk to him the next day. He tells me that the wheel are done but they need the parts to assemble them. He said they were still in customs so they had to wait for them to get here. He assures me they will be here by Monday and that he's going to "personally" take care of my order.
Eighth week
Monday - He didn't contact me at all. I had to email Daniel and he actually scolded me for talking to Daniel. He tells me the parts will arrive on Tuesday and that they would assemble the wheels immediately and get them out to me. Oh yeah, he'll have pictures too.
Wednesday - I can't take anymore. I tell him I want my money back. He says the wheels are ready to ship today and totally ignores that part of my email. I ask him why hasn't he even tried to offer some sort of compensation for my troubles. He say's he can take $100 off the price. I thought he could do more but figured it was something. Also, still no pics.
Friday - I receive this picture
He asks if I'm ready to pay the balance. I ask him if he as another photo and he sends a pic just like it only a bit clearer. I kinda wanted to see all 4 wheels so I asked if he could do that. He did not respond until Monday.
Ninth week
Monday - He says the wheels are already packaged and ready to go so he can't take anymore pics. I messaged him back and he didn't reply to it so I messaged him a few hours later. He responds saying he's having problem with his email.
Tuesday - I begrudgingly give him my credit card info the to pay the rest of the balance. I just wanted the whole ordeal over and done with (and quite frankly, I wanted my wheels!). He says his email is back up and running again and he will charge the card tomorrow and then ship.
Wednesday - I email him in the morning to ask when the wheels would ship. I'm a little antsy at this point as they are about to get the rest of my money. I email again 2 hours later with no reply. Again, I email an hour later telling him to please respond. 4 pm comes around so I message Daniel on the forum asking him why Mitchell is not responding to my emails. Daniel replies telling me Mitchell is having problems with his emails. He says he can receive them but not send them (why not set up a yahoo account or something just so he can let me know?) He also says they will ship the wheels shortly. I respond back asking what shortly means exactly.
5 hours later and no response. I've had it. I don't know if they've been stalling, having actual problems, etc. The main fact is they keep giving me the runaround and have not given me a specific date or answer.
Cliff notes.
Was told 2-3 weeks time for my wheels to be done.
It's now the week 9 and I still don't have any wheels.
Mods, please keep this thread open. I will update everything once I know the final result.

Reason: grammar
Wow...I'm tired and frustrated just reading about it. I don't know anything about these wheels (or the vendor) but from the mention of "Customs" I'm guessing the wheels are made in China or somewhere. If a vendor is essentially middling an order it's easy for things to be out of their control. IMO there are advantages to buying made in the USA wheels where the vendor is the manufacturer...they have much more control over the entire process (from order through manufacture through shipping).
I hope the situation improves for you....good luck!

should have never paid the balance!!!!!!!!!!!!
file a chargeback with cc company now.
I have already filed my charge-back (been open for almost 2 weeks). I wish Iconz would just refund my money so I could be done with this. I also agree that the $100 off was a slap in the face.

Nope, they are made in the USA. However, I did wonder why they needed to get their parts from another country?
I sure hope not and don't think so or I wouldn't have bought their wheels. I did it find it interesting that the 830z's looked exactly like the mesh 8's and both companies are based in Florida.

Please understand that there are always two sides to every story. We do not wish to get into a back and forth argument here on the forum, but as you can see by the picture posted, his wheels are finished and on there way to him. This has been an extremely busy month preparing for the SEMA show, so there was a slight delay. Thank you.
Regards,
ICONZ WHEELS
P.S. We have absolutely nothing to do with 360 Forged or ADV.1, or any other company related to them.

Can you kindly clarify the "U.S. Customs" matter? I'm a licensed U.S. Customs broker with 16 years working experience, and a nation-wide permit, with the proper 3PL software to clear cargo in all 50 states. If you're having troubles, perhaps I can help expedite things. Also, I was under the impression that ICONZ was manufactured in USA? If so, what is the need for "U.S. Customs"?
Without this getting any more out of hand than it already has we would like to say we apologize for the delay of Todd's wheels. We are not trying to take his money and forget about him, as a matter of fact, we haven't even charged him the balance of his order yet.
The customers are not just a CC number, they are our customers and we do care about them a lot !!!
This particular order had Murphys law attached to it. If anything could go wrong, it did.
I can go on and tell you about how the order was delayed due to several issues. One being that the particular inners and outers were supposed to arrive on a certain date and they were late, and that he ordered pocketed machining to reduce the weight of the wheels, but due to the crazyness of SEMA and having to produce a lot of wheels that had to be at the show, that aspect was overlooked and had to go back on the machines to be done. And then the lack of communication because our e-mail server was sending all our e-mails into spam folders or bouncing back to us.
But, with all that said, the wheels were still not delivered in the time frame we had told the customer and we do apologize for that. Most of our wheels do get done in 3-4 weeks.
What we can say is that the wheels are on their way today and he will have tracking information and that the wheels do look amazing.
Time delay has nothing to do with the quality......
We have had many satisfied customers in the past and we hope this one instance will not reflect on how everyone views our company. We are all human and sometimes things happen, but we are willing to take the hit and learn from our mistakes.
Thank you,
ICONZ WHEELS

We are willing to correct our mistakes and we even gave the customer back some money to compensate for them, We will take this as a lesson learned and work on trying to help this community and increase our customer service as much as possible.

You never once told me about these issues. You just kept saying they were at the finisher.
I also don't see how email could stop the wheels from being finished. As for replying to me, you could have opened up a temporary yahoo account or something to deal with customers in the meantime, messaged me on the forum, or even called me.

thank you
At first you wanted to take nothing off. After a week Mitchell said he would knock a $100 off which I found a bit disappointing.
Also, why did your first comment say there are 2 sides to every story? Were you implying that I was lying?
Mitchell just emailed wondering if I've been getting his emails (seriously, still having email problems?). He also said he will send out tracking today. I replied back that I didn't want them and would just like a refund.
We have just written to Horn again through an alternate e-mail address and have given him $200 of the price of his wheels to show how serious we are about giving our customers support.
We are not letting this sit idle and hoping it goes away, we are taking full responsibility to make sure the customer is satisfied.
Thank you,
ICONZ WHEELS

To sum up this thread, we can not change what has been done, or lack of. All we can do is show this community how devoted we are to our customers and making our customer service as good as can be.
We are not hiding or trying to skip out of anything, we will continue to be a PAID SPONSOR of this community.
For all those who chose not to buy wheels from us, that is your option, to others, we hope we can prove to you what an outstanding product and service we can supply to you.
