The information I received on this unit a couple of months ago was lacking a price. It looks very similiar to th ZR1 unit if not identical.

This looks great! I wonder if it would be quiet also since its got a bypass valve. Does that mean that it stops spinning at idle?

The only supercharger system, that I know of, that uses a clutch(to disengage the rotors) is on the Mercedes(mine has one). The bypass valve just allows the intake air to go directly to the intake valves, bypassing the spinning rotors.

No mention of a kit for the LS2.

I would truly love one of these kits for my '07 vert. With a stock hood -- indeed no outward signs of modification at all -- this could be the core of an ultimate boulevard sleeper.

I wonder how it sounds....????

Here is the info on Edelbrock's website:

http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_...gers/corvette/

Looks to come in 3 different versions (hp levels) and is only for LS3 Corvettes 2008-2010. I searched the web looking for pricing but never found any. The same comparable kit for a current Mustang runs right at $5600.

I only see two kits listed.

#1590 @ 554hp and #1591 @ 599hp.

There is a "Competition Kit", No. 1592 listed at the bottom of the page. I believe it may be the same as No. 1590 but includes less components so that racers can customize their own installation. It says it is for offroad use only while the first two kits are "street legal".

"The Edelbrock E-Force competition supercharger is based off of our street supercharger kit #1590, but is paired down to the essential components that a racer needs, without the extras that experienced racers prefer to customize for their own competitive advantage. For competition racing use only."

I'd like to hear more about this............

"The unique features on these kits are the 12" long intake runners that allow for maximum low end torque and the optional 5 year 100,000 mile supplemental warranty"

If its a real drivetrain warranty for 5 years/100,000 miles...then its a lot more interesting...

550 or 599 flywheel hp with a warranty is money well spent....especially if it fits under a stock hood!

Sounds almost too good to be true.. IMO

Thanks, I didn't read far enough down the page.

Does anyone know where the heat from this intercooler is exhausted? That might be my only real concern about keeping the stock (unvented) hood.

Photo of the kits shows a water to air unit that is normally placed in front of the radiator. Also shown are the coolant lines, electric pump and coolant reservoir along with the connection points for the coolant lines on the S/C housing.

The warranty would only cover their parts........
