Stripes? Flames? Ghosted Flames?
I'm thinking about doing a little paint work on the car this winter.
Not 100% what I want. I don't want it to look like a ZHZ so the strip down the middle is out.
However, how about dual stripes? Or flames? Or even ghosted flames?
Any pictures or ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Buzz

Well seeing how you are such a low key, subdued kind of person, I think stripes and flames would be a little over the top so I am voting for ghost flames...something with subtle shades of red, orange and yellow blended into a flowing stream of flame down the sides of the car.

I dunno man...it's pretty sweet as it is.
Maybe a few very subtle darker yellow flames with ghosted black outlines...I'll look around. Publish a side shot of your car to give us something to play around with.

Since you have a Velocity Yellow car, some Millennium Yellow ghost flames would be slightly darker. very cool, very subtle, and all Corvette ! ! !

I have never been a fan of covering the hood and nose with flames and I think taking the flames down the side of the body from cove opening back to just past the end of the door would look great.
I have also seen the blue vert that lander referred to...this had flames all over the car and I think I can find a pic of it...I will post it if I find it.

Man, I'm gonna have to go against this one, I think your ride looks awesome as it is. Maybe some type of subtle body kit. If you do anything, I say just maybe do the fender stripes in black or something.
There's a guy on the other forum with a black vette and he has some very realistic looking flames coming out the side vents and on the hood.
If you do flames, I say go with a jet stream blue color or something.

Just so long as your flames aren't like this...
Actually, I like the idea of some subtle, yet realistic flames coming off the wheels as though you were smokin' 'em good.

Ok, how about something like this only with black flames in gloss black with red outline?

I've go red calipers plus the engine bay has red lettering and red flames on the hoodliner.
I'm not afraid of a little black to keep clean. It's a garage queen.

That's the look that came into my mind the moment I read your first post. However, I would do black flames with blue or grey tips. You know you will need to do something about those side marker lights (ahem....tint).

Raazor - I think your car looks great! IMO - I wouldn't change a thing. Here are some pics of Madsen's Z06 (CF Member) with a painted fade on the hood, sides and rear of his car. It's unique and subtle.
