possibilities
I had a funny thought when i was talking to my friend yesterday. He is big into the ZR1 and im into the GS/C6. He said no matter what the car i want(GS) could never beat a stock ZR1. What are the possibilities that a GS/C6 with a ECS Supercharger and a full exhaust(prob borla stingers and not sure on headers/x-pipe) beating a stock ZR1 in a drag and maybe in the circuit too?Would be funny to rub that i could beat him while saving 30+grand.

Buy the base GS for +or- $50,000 employee price, ship the car and $30,000 (1/2 the $60,000 difference from the ZR1 price) to one of the Forum sponser shops. You'll have $80,000 invested and outrun a ZR1.
No Warranty, resale/trade value or collector value though.

You could even buy an old C4, invest $50 in mods, and you could beat anything out there. Ever heard the term ricer? But it wouldn't be a ZR1 nor a C6.

i figured with all the money saved it would able to beat it. Im not worried to much about resale or collector value. Id rather be driving a GS over a ZR1 any day on MA roads. The potholes are crazy around here haha. Would Twin Turbo be better for a stock car than ECS SC?

A GS is also too fast for Ma roads (Rt 3-128-93S Daily). The ZR has the mag ride though.

I expect a rough ride out of it but can it handle roads like this? Wouldnt want to be repairing my suspension every year cuz of bumps and potholes. It wouldnt be a daily driver just a nice weather/weekend second car and i wouldnt be beating on it unless i was at a track/dragway.

Im fairly certian we can put together a package to beat a ZR1.... with stock, unopend LS2's making more than 750 at the wheels, and a good quality Pfadt suspension set up....you might even just embarras him.

As the November Car and Driver said about the GS: Darty on lumpy curves, oversteer prone, harsh on all but the smoothest surfaces - no expansion joint or tar strip is beneath its notice. But its your choice.

ya i saw the review on its drive quality. i plan on test driving it before i consider it as a final option. I dont really go on magazine articles cuz some people dont mind the stiff ride as much. I already feel all the bumps in my daily driver so i wouldnt mind feeling it with the GS. Besides there are people driving Z06s around here and theyre ride is supposed to be worst than a GS. Im only worry about it suspension needed frequent repairs due to bumps.
