2007 Z51 M6 vs. 2002 Z06 M6
Which car would be faster to 60mph, 1/4 mile, or around a road course.
My 2007 Z51 M6 has cat back corsa exhaust and no other performance mods. I have the original Goodyear Run Flats that came from the factory.
My friends 2002 Z06 has cat back B&B bullet exhaust, is lowered slightly, and no other performance mods. My friend has Firestone firehawk wide ovals.
Assume equal driving skills.
This head to head would only be theoretical and not performed on any public roads or whatever else I need to say to keep this from getting deleted.

The Z is probably very slightly more composed in the twisties than a C6 Z51.
You might check YouTube as I'm sure there are some vids of these match-ups on there.

the cars are just about even. If both cars were driven by the same person and all other things being equal, I believe the Z may have an ever so slight edge due to the slightly more agressive suspension.

Depends on whether you have to go around a corner or just drive straight ahead. On corners especially, the bigger wheels/tires give the C5 Z06 the edge over a C6 Z51, IMNSHO.

It's not a driver's race. The z06 is faster. Dead even 1st and 2nd thanks to the z51 gearing, but he will slighly pull 3rd and definitely 4th gear. I speak from personal experience.
