Corvette Racing Second in Wild Finish to ALMS Season Finale
Corvette Racing teammates Jan Magnussen and Johnny O'Connell finished as runners-up in the season-ending Monterey Sports Car Championships at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. The race ended as Magnussen spun across the track and hit the wall on the pit straight in the No. 3 Compuware Corvette C6.R. The Danish driver was examined and released from the trackside medical center after his encounter with the concrete barrier as the Corvette's safety systems and energy-absorbing structure performed as designed in the impact.
this was yesterday? i was standing in front of the tv yelling for nothing?
me too, and that explains why it was getting dark ... im looking outside and was like.... how is it getting dark there and not here.....
that was a dirty move he made....bumping an ass that won't let you by is one thing, but to purposely run you into the wall is a chicken crap move.

Way too many Mods... my bank account hurts
Great finish except for the cheap shot. Hey, I guess that's the only way Porsche can beat the C6R team. NEXT YEAR ( being from chicago, we say this a lot around here ... Cubs )
Boy that was a, EXTREMELY unsportsmanlike. There is NO WAY Porsche should be allowed to keep that win.
If ALMS doesn't call it then I trust there will be retribution by Corvette against Porsche next year......as in return the favour.....more than once. After all, what is ALMS going to say.........they are the ones saying it is okay to drive a competitor off the track.
The ALMS forced Jan to let the Porsche back by after Jan used the pit out to pass because the Porsche forced him into it. The ALMS prefers non American cars to win! Always has and always will. If Corvette racing hits the Prosche next year they will get penalized. Best thing to do is just out run them but the ALMS will add weight or restrictions to the Corvettes if they do too good.
