Well, first and foremost, it's no Callaway as it is advertised to be. That seems to be little more than a used 2008 coupe with some cosmetic enhancements, an aftermarket stereo and a magnussen supercharger. The only thing Callaway on that car is a cold air intake. The car is a base 1LT automatic.

Here's a nice 09 Z06 with Pfadt coil overs/sways, cam, valve springs, pushrods, engine visual enhancements and a low mileage NOT BEAT fast Z06. Owner traded it in on a 11 white Z06 with HRE wheels, Nitto tires and othere dealer installed mods. Dealer that took it in trade wholesaled it to the seller. Awesome, modded Z06.

Also the seats look like they have 110,000 miles on them. I have 82k and mine look almost brand new where those look like crap!!
Tinted headlights will be a costly mistake.

Run don't walk away.

Car looks nice, but I don't know enough about modded cars to tell you if the price is good. I'm sure someone else with more experience will give you opinions.

If you know little to nothing about a C6, then you should pass on this car. Lots of mods, looks like a lot of seat wear for under 10,000 miles. Too many extras done and yes, how do you know it is a Callaway..there is a Callaway intake, thats all I see. I would suggest you pass. Also, check out that dealer real closely!

I would pass on the sole fact that there are so many ridiculous exaggerations in the ad. Doesn't seem a like a truly honest seller.

That ad is a lot of HYPE. For 50k there are a lot of Vettes to consider. That car is built to the owners taste, which is fine but he can't expect to get all his money back out of it. It's not representative of C6 Corvettes and not a good choice for a first Vette.

As for coming out of a GTR, I had a GTR as well. The best choice for comparable performance would be a Z06 but the ride quality won't be as good. I don't know about a ZR1 but in my experience, the factory ride quality in any Vette isn't as good as the GTR and any suspension mods with increase performance but diminish comfort.

In short, GTR is a more "street minded" car while the Z06 is More "track minded".

Hope that helps?

can't speak to ride quality of GTR, but mine rides just fine. and for long trips, too.

seems to me if you want a cad, go for it! a corvette is not for you. no negatives implied.
